Our topic for tonight,
The importance of seeing the good in all.
So close your eyes and let's start with a deep breath.
Breathe in and maybe hold it and then release.
Let's do that a few times.
Breathe in and release.
Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Our perception shapes the lives we lead.
When we look for negativity,
We find it,
And sometimes in abundance.
Conversely,
We create positive energy when we endeavor to see the goodness around us.
As easy as it is to criticize the people and situations that frustrate or hurt us,
We do ourselves a disservice in the process.
It is important to see the good in all.
All that there is,
All the blessings,
And they're hiding sometimes,
And they're hiding in places we may sometimes least expect to find them.
When our lives are flooded with challenges,
Grief,
And pain,
We may be tempted to believe that some individuals or incidents are simply bad.
When we look for the good in all,
Good reveals itself to us,
Easing our doubts.
Breathe in to all the goodness that surrounds you and exhale.
Let's repeat gratefulness statements.
I am grateful for a new day.
I am opening my heart to gratitude.
I am grateful for the moments of rest and solitude.
I'm opening my heart to healing.
I am grateful for moments to pause and reflect.
I am opening my heart to emotional ease.
Take a few moments to think of your thoughts and your feelings as you finish this sentence.
I am grateful for.

You are allowed to make mistakes.
If you make mistakes,
You are making new things,
Trying new things,
Learning,
Living,
Pushing yourself,
Changing yourself,
And changing your world.
Maybe you're doing things you've never done before.
And more importantly,
You're doing something.
Just don't stop.
Don't worry that it isn't good enough or that it isn't perfect.
Whatever it is,
Art,
Love,
Work,
Family,
Movement,
Do it.
And if you're scared or feeling apprehensive,
Do it.
The quote by Tony Robbins,
Trade your expectations for appreciation and your world changes instantly.
Our perceptions do shape the lives we lead.
And we can always look for negativity,
And if we do,
We will find it.
May we look for the positive.
May we choose to look for the positive and look for the blessings that surround us and be just grateful for the smallest things.
That are sometimes hiding right in front of our eyes.
May you slowly open your eyes to see what is around you.
And as you look,
Maybe you see things for the very first time.
You have arrived.
