**Note: If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice. You are welcome to donate to help bring clarity to more people.

Transcript

People keep being busy which means that the mind keeps concentrating on something different in the hope of forgetting the self,

Forgetting the trouble.

But at the same time,

The concentration also brings about the conflicts of the mind.

So such a living state is turbulent,

It's a battlefield because the mind keeps seeking and the self,

The ego is never gone,

The problem is never gone as long as the mind doesn't concentrate all the issues come back.

That's why I look around,

So many people keep being busy using all kinds pretexts and excuses.

The mind cannot tolerate being empty and the mind can be only kept engaged to avoid the thoughts,

Avoid all kinds terrible things.

But the mind never achieves peace.

To really understand this requires you and me inquire into the nature of the concentration.

See this issue clearly in ourselves.

Can we live a life without any control?

Which means that can we live a life without any concentration?

Which doesn't mean that the life is full of destruction.

But the mind gives full attention to each moment,

To the things you are doing.

Concentration as we said before implies exclusion,

Repeating something,

Control something.

But attention means inclusion,

Being inclusive.

Give full attention means that the mind is open to it,

To the things around it.

The mind focus on something but it never excludes others.

That's the state of the full attention.

Can we focus on things without control?

When control takes place it is concentration.

When there's no control that is full attention on something.
