**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listening attentively and with humility. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

So to meditate is to see this pattern of seeking security from thoughts in ourselves.

See the consequence of this pattern on the me in terms of all kinds of mental changes we are going through.

We see that if we are seeking security,

We won't get it.

The mind is becoming more and more turbulent,

Creating more and more security,

And there will be more and more issues.

But if we are observing the mind without being the observer,

To see what is really taking place at this moment,

Now,

To see when we are doing nothing,

No judgment,

No justification,

No condemnation,

Just watching,

In that non-doing,

See what will happen to the mind.

This seeing is totally different from you are reading a book,

You are listening to something else.

When you do nothing,

When the mind does nothing,

In that non-doing,

When the mind sees how the mind changes,

That perception or experience,

So to speak,

Will bring about the ultimate certainty the mind,

The me,

Can never seek.

This is the secret of meditation.

This was full of wisdom. I would love if you’d make a longer version that can give insight on how to make the mind do “nothing” as you. It sounds so simple yet it’s one of the most difficult things to accomplish as a conditioned human being.
