Hello,
I'm Claire,
And this meditation for you uses the power of gratitude to make friends with your body.
It can be useful if you're feeling disconnected,
Despondent,
Or in discomfort.
Even if you have disabilities or parts of your body are not well.
This practice will help,
Wishing you the very best in your practice.
Making sure you are safe and comfortable,
Whether sitting or lying,
I invite you to gently shut your eyes.
Allow your attention to fall softly back into your body,
As if through your eye sockets.
And spend a moment bringing your focus,
Your attention,
And your intention into the interior of your body.
Imagining one cell in all of the trillions of your cells,
Filling with light and hope as you breathe in.
And then letting go that which no longer serves you as you breathe out.
Breathing in light and hope.
Breathing out that which no longer serves.
And then multiply that for every cell in your body,
Each cell,
In with light and hope.
And as you exhale,
Letting go that which no longer serves you.
Very very soft,
Very gentle,
Natural breath.
Beautiful.
We're going to make a journey to every cell of your body,
As ever allow any words that work for you to guide you,
And gently let go of any that don't resonate for you.
Let's start with your bones.
I invite you to say hello to your bones.
They are your structure,
Like the struts and support of a bridge.
They are the essential edifice around which the rest of your body makes a home.
From the strides your legs can make,
The choices your arms can make,
The details your hands allow,
The protection of your spine,
Your skull,
Ribs and pelvic ball give.
Each bone has a beautiful contribution.
Deep in your bones,
Your bone marrow is creating cells,
Stem cells,
To keep you nourished and safe.
Let's take a moment to send appreciation,
Literally imagine saying thank you to your bones and bone marrow that work so hard for you.
And if you feel like it,
You can add in a colour or light or quality that your bones and bone marrow would love right now,
Such as energy,
Focus or deep support.
Thank you bones.
Thank you bone marrow.
So much appreciation.
I invite you to say hello to your muscles.
You know them so well.
You know what it's like to stretch and to rest them.
You know how they feel when you use them to change direction,
Make choices in movement or stay still.
You know what your muscles feel like when you need them to brace and work hard for you.
And you know what they feel like when they are relaxed.
Let's take a moment to send appreciation,
Literally imagine saying thank you to those muscles that work so hard for you.
Thank you muscles.
If you feel like you can add in a colour or light or quality that any of your muscles would love right now,
Such as peace or relaxation.
Thank you muscles.
So much appreciation.
Let's move on to your organs and glands.
You don't need to know where they are,
All of them.
Organs for so many functions,
Thinking,
Breathing,
Digesting,
Procreating,
Glands with their hormones for regulation,
Endless messages around the body so that each can do its part.
I invite you now to dream into any or all of your organs or glands,
Those you know well like your heart or gut and those that get on with the job behind the scenes.
Let's take a moment to send appreciation,
Literally imagine saying thank you to those organs and glands that work so hard for you.
Thank you.
If you like you can add a colour or light or quality that one or more of your organs or glands would love right now,
Such as love,
Vibrancy or nourishment.
Thank you organs and glands.
So much appreciation.
Now I invite you to turn your attention to your blood,
Lymph and nervous systems.
Please imagine these complex pathways reaching into the far corners of your body,
Like rivers bringing nourishment,
Communication and cleanliness.
Thank you blood.
Thank you lymph.
Thank you nerves.
Let's take a moment to send appreciation,
Literally imagine saying thank you to these sweet pathways.
Thank you.
And if you feel you want to,
You can add in a colour or light or quality to your blood or your lymph or your nervous systems,
Any that they would love right now,
Like ease or flow or hope.
Thank you.
So much appreciation.
And now let's imagine all the other parts of your body,
The joints and ligaments,
Fat,
Skin and nails,
Connective tissue,
Eyes,
Ears and hair,
All your cells working so hard to protect,
Nourish and allow us to be in this life.
Thank you for your protection.
Thank you for your nourishment.
Thank you for housing life.
Thank you every cell.
Love to every living,
Breathing cell.
Thank you body.
Thank you cells.
Thank you.
