Welcome to Thriving Woman,

A daily reminder to help guide high-achieving gen-x women on a unique journey from stress,

Overwhelm and burnout to authentic self-expression,

Aligned action and soulful success.

My name's Clare Downam and I am your soulful success mentor and coach and today we're exploring transforming stress in relationships and moving towards mindful connection and inner calm for deeper love.

And today the really simple reminder is that no one outside of you can make you feel anything and I think when we really see this deeply we can have a much more profound connection with another human being.

Our feelings,

Our experience,

The inner sense,

That inner feel that we have,

That often can seem really strongly to be coming from the outside world,

Never ever ever does.

No one can make you feel angry,

No one can make you feel upset and we kind of end up with a window of opportunity when we're living life from a place of this awareness and that opportunity is to pause.

It is to notice that emotionally inside we are not feeling okay,

It is to take a breath and it is to go inside rather than outside in our response to what we are experiencing.

If we feel that what we're experiencing inside is coming from the outside world we will of course do those things in the outside world and there is no blame or shame in any of that,

That is a normal human way to be.

But when we see in the moment that that emotional experience is actually coming from the inside it completely transforms every single interaction that we have with another human being and with all our circumstances too.

So that's my little daily reminder for today,

Just something to take out into life,

Just to take note of as you go through your day-to-day and just to check in with yourself to see how you are feeling as you respond to those around you.
