My name is Lorraine.
I'm going to do something that's called meditation with you and this meditation is a way to help you if you're really sad or upset.
So this meditation is to help with that.
Now what I want you to do is to first of all lie down somewhere comfortable.
I want you to wiggle your fingers and toes.
That way you know where your body is and then let them go still and if you can perhaps you can close your eyes.
By closing your eyes it's much easier to do this and what I want you to do now is to when you breathe out is to make a sound.
So you can make any sound that you want.
It can be a loud sound,
A quiet sound,
It can be a whisper,
It can be loud.
Whatever you need to do just as you breathe out just really make the longest sound that you can.
So it might just be a sound or maybe you sing a note.
Whatever works for you,
Whatever you want to do and just do that two or three times making that sound.
Really noticing it,
Feeling it,
Listening to it.
And when you've made it two or three times I want you to stop making the sound and put your hands somewhere on your body that feels comfortable for you.
Maybe your chest or your tummy.
Just let them rest there.
So with your eyes closed I want you to imagine that you are holding a daisy.
It's a little daisy that maybe you've picked from a garden somewhere and I want you to imagine that this daisy is someone you love.
So we're going to name this daisy after someone you love and then we're going to imagine we can pick another daisy for someone else that we love and who we know loves us.
And perhaps we also choose daisies for people that are no longer here but we still love them and they still love us.
So we pick a daisy for them.
It's little white daisies with their little yellow centre.
What we're going to do now is we're going to line up our daisies and we're going to make a daisy chain.
So each of the daisies connect to each other and if you can't imagine yourself doing that then you imagine someone you know helping you.
Connect all the daisies together.
The daisies of someone that you.
.
.
Of people that you love.
It might also include pets.
And suddenly you have a circle of daisies.
Each of them are connected to each other and I'm going to ask you to imagine you're putting that circle of daisies on your head and you're wearing it like a crown of daisies.
Each daisy links to someone that you love and who loves you whether or not they're here physically anymore.
But the energy of their love and your love for them lives in that daisy.
And you imagine wearing it like a crown on your head.
This is a magical crown.
This magical crown and the love of those people can move into your heart and suddenly you imagine that your heart,
Your chest is surrounded in these daisies.
And each of them link to each other and they connect to you.
And then we start to imagine all these other people in the world and some of them know that they have a crown of daisies and some of them don't.
Some of them haven't taken the time to realise all these people that love them and that they love.
But you can imagine that you're helping them become aware of their crown of daisies.
Each daisy a person that loves them and that they love.
Each of them wearing a crown of daisies of people that are special to them.
So whenever we see someone who's really sad because they think a person has gone,
Perhaps we can tell them,
Remind them that they have a crown of daisies and each daisy is a person that loves them forever.
So now we come back to where we have a hand resting on our body and we just want to wiggle our fingers and toes again.
And whenever we feel a bit sad we just think about our crown of daisies and how we're still linked to the people we love.
