Today we're gonna do a body relaxation meditation.
Before we do,
Let's make sure that we are ready.
You can lay down or sit,
Whatever works best for you.
Now wiggle around until you feel just right.
If you're comfortable,
You can close your eyes.
Now let's take three nice slow deep breaths into your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Last one,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now that you're in a more peaceful place,
Let's go on a little journey.
Using that wonderful imagination of yours,
Picture yourself lying down under a big strong shady tree at the edge of a gentle stream.
You feel the warm soft grass underneath you.
You start to smile feeling very safe and loved and peaceful.
You can hear the gentle sound of the wind blowing through the green leaves above you.
And you notice the sweet sound of songbirds in the distance.
You can even smell the blue and yellow wildflowers that are growing along the water's edge.
And you can feel the warm relaxing sun as it shines on your feet.
Notice how your feet begin to become warmer and more relaxed.
The sun now shines its light on your legs all the way up to your knees.
Notice how your ankles and your lower legs start to relax from this warm soothing yellow light.
Now up your legs it goes until it reaches your hips.
Your whole lower body is now warm,
Relaxed and heavy.
Sun now shines on your belly and your chest.
Breathing in you feel your chest and your tummy rise to meet this warm light.
Now these sunbeams go to your shoulders and all the way down to your fingertips.
That feels good huh?
The sun continues moving up your body and now is shining on your neck,
Your face,
All the way to the top of your head.
Just take a minute to enjoy this feeling of warmth and relaxation.
Well my friends we'll say goodbye for now.
Just know that whenever you need to you can return to this place in your imagination to find this relaxation and peace.
So as the music slowly fades out start to bring your attention back into the moment.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes,
Rub your hands together and slowly open your eyes whenever you're ready.
And remember you are one of a kind.
