.
It's preferable to begin this meditation in a seated position,
But whatever is comfortable for you is fine.
However you are positioned,
Feel a connection with the Earth.
Feel yourself drawing in strength from the Earth and that strength nourishing you as you relax.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Breath out slowly as well.
Do this several times.
Allow yourself to completely release any tension you might be storing.
Perhaps you will wish to practice the Padma or Lotus Mudra during this meditation by touching the heels of your palms,
Pinky fingers and thumbs together as you draw your palms,
Index,
Middle and ring fingers away from one another to symbolize a lotus in bloom.
With each inhale,
Think,
I am enough.
With each exhale,
Think,
I matter.
As you enter into a deeper meditative state,
Visualize yourself walking down a trail in the wilderness.
With each step,
You hear the sounds of nature,
Birds singing,
Breezes blowing.
You walk between a row of trees until you come to the end of the trail and find a pond.
You pause and see your reflection in it.
The image of yourself that you see says to you,
You are enough.
You matter.
And that's because you most certainly do,
My dear friend.
As you continue beholding your reflection in the pond,
You feel uplifted as your many positive attributes float to the surface of the water.
I invite you to see them sprouting up like blooming lotuses.
Take a moment to name,
Recognize and honor each one of them.
Recognize that you are worthy of the highest form of love there is.
The love that you give to yourself.
You matter.
Just like a lotus,
You have risen up through many ponds to become a beautiful flower.
Take some time now to honor yourself,
Rising up again and again to acknowledge your greatness.
As you slowly begin to come out of your meditation,
Sense warmth and movement in your fingers and toes.
When you are ready,
Begin to open your eyes.
Take your time.
If you are so able,
Place your right hand on your left shoulder and your left hand on your right shoulder.
Now,
Give yourself a hug.
The crow flies from me to thee to send the message,
Blessed be.
Namaste.
