Hi,

Welcome.

This is Darcy.

Let's start by taking a few breaths.

I'll lead you through a process,

And your job is just to breathe.

As I share ideas or images,

See if you can stick with what I'm saying.

But even if you don't,

It's fully okay.

Your job is just to be here,

To breathe,

And to be open to what wants to happen.

So let's take one more nice breath.

Beautiful.

Let your eyes close if that feels available.

With every breath that you take,

Let yourself go deeper inward to the world behind your eyes.

A world as vast and fascinating as the world outside your eyes.

Feel your feet on the ground.

Even rub them a little bit on the floor,

The carpeting,

Or the grass that you're on.

This is your connection to the earth.

The earth that made you with its very own materials.

If it feels good to you,

Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

Throughout our process,

This will just help you to stay connected into your body,

Into your physical form,

And help in your grounding.

So,

Continuing to breathe and noticing your breaths,

We'll now take a deeper dive into your inner world.

Allow your attention to float down,

Down,

Down,

Down.

Over your head,

Over your face,

Down over your neck and shoulders.

With each breath,

You bring your attention downward,

Over your whole body,

From your shoulders,

Down over your chest,

Your heart,

Your lungs,

And your ribs,

Down over your back,

Your low back,

Your belly,

Your hips and your butt,

Down over the long muscles and bones of your legs,

Your hamstrings,

Your thighs,

Down over your knees,

Your shins and calves,

Ankles,

And down into your feet.

But then we take your awareness down even further,

Down past the floorboards or even the grass that you're standing on.

If you're up in a building many stories up,

Let your awareness continue to go down,

Down,

Down,

All the way until you hit the dirt.

This is your grounding cord connecting you to the earth,

Our only home,

This earth that,

As I said before,

From its own materials birthed you.

Let your attention go down through the layers of the dirt and the earth.

Past the topsoil and all the beings that make their lives in this first layer of dirt,

The earthworms,

The moles,

The rabbits with their little spaces and their homes,

Down,

Down the roots of the trees,

The mycorrhizal fungi.

See all those living creatures here on this earth where you belong,

Continuing your grounding cord down.

And as you go down,

Marvel that this is your home.

Your physical body is home here.

Let yourself breathe and take in the reality of you and your physical form made of these minerals,

Made of this water,

Made of these nutrients that come from this earth.

And what we know is that this earth loves every single one of us,

Every being on this planet.

The earth loves as they come from their very soil.

We are made of earth.

We reflect back to the earth,

Her beauty,

Her majesty,

Her aliveness.

As your awareness goes down,

Down through the layers of the earth,

Allow it to go all the way to that molten core where it is so warm.

The very center of the earth.

And as you reach this,

These depths,

And this warm,

Molten place,

Let it also connect you with your depths,

Your core,

That which is so much below the surface,

But nonetheless real.

Your physical body is made of the earth,

This earth that loves you so much.

And you are so much more beneath the surface.

Allow yourself a moment to see the earth below her surface and how precious she is.

And let yourself marvel at your depths as well.

How far below the surface you go,

How deep you are.

And marvel and behold with awe and deep love to see yourself in this way.

Feel your body in this way connected with the earth as you go about your day,

Walking,

Running,

Driving,

Sitting,

Whatever you're doing.

Allow yourself to feel that this connection exists,

This grounding cord that goes from your body down into the earth is always with you.

And all you need to do is think of it and you'll feel this connection.

Releasing that connection for now,

Knowing you can go back to it anytime.

Let's take three nice deep breaths,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

And last one.

Thank you for being part of this grounding process with me.

Thank you for connecting in with this earth,

The earth,

Our only home,

And that which loves each of us so uniquely and specially and completely.

May you feel this love all day long.

Come back as often as you'd like.

We can share in this time together.

Take care.

Bye-bye.
