Good morning and welcome to the earnest morning.
My name's Darius and I've got a special meditation practice for you today.
I've never guided a practice like this before.
I'm going to be perfectly honest with you.
I'm not sure it is guideable and it's a practice I use very regularly and has made a big impact on my life.
There's a chance it's just a meditation for me and it doesn't really translate through guidance.
So I want to be transparent with you and see if you're still interested on going on a bit of an unorthodox journey with me.
Today's practice isn't difficult,
It's actually quite simple.
But in order to really lean into it,
We've got to prepare for our minds not making any sense of it at all.
Like I said,
I practice this regularly and my mind still doesn't get it.
And that's okay because it's not really for my mind to understand.
Let's take a deep breath here and just let the past wash away from us.
I've said a lot right now and maybe you're feeling playful and open and you're like,
Let's do this Darius,
Let's try.
I'd like to invite you to close your eyes now and start to settle in.
Start taking deeper breaths,
Just allowing yourself to arrive.
So here's the entire practice.
Two sentences repeated in a variety of different ways.
The two sentences are very simple,
Thank you and I love you.
And I repeat these over and over in different variations until I almost fall into a beautiful trance.
Sometimes I move my body a little bit and I just go with the flow.
Usually I'm not sure what I'm thinking,
What I love,
And it doesn't matter.
Your mind will try to make sense of it.
It's better to just imagine it as a frequency,
A beautiful chant that begins to clear out unconscious thoughts and conversations that are at a lower frequency that we don't even know are happening.
And it floods your inner worlds with the frequency of thank you.
The frequency of I love you.
So I'm going to get us started and then leave lots of space for you to find your own cadence.
Take a nice deep breath here and let it go.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
I love you.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
I love you.
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
Thank you.
Thank you,
I love you,
I love you,
Thank you.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
What's important here is you realize there's no specific order,
There's no specific pacing,
There's no specific cadence,
It's just freestyle.
You can interchange those two sentences as much as you want,
As little as you want.
For me,
I just continue doing it and let my brain not understand it.
And then eventually,
Somehow,
Some way,
I find myself in a deeper place inside my heart.
Let's take another deep breath here and let it go.
For this next song,
I'm going to stay quiet and allow you to play and experiment and you can say the two sentences inside.
I like to say it just under my breath so it's actually coming through my voice.
I'll stay quiet and let you play with those two powerful sentences.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Maybe you leaned in and you played and you experimented and maybe you just sat there and just got quality time with yourself.
That's okay too.
This is our last song and I'm going to leave a lot of open space again.
And I want to introduce one extra element and it's touch.
I find this amplifies the experience when I say I love you,
Thank you,
In whichever order I want to,
And I place my hands on my body,
My heart,
And my legs and just love myself.
Something really powerful starts to happen.
I'm going to stay quiet and let you have some fun.
I'll meet you at the end.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Thank you for meditating with me.
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and invite you to find your journal.
We're going to do some private personal journaling.
Of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
You can do the same.
Put some time on your clock and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you.
Thank you once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
