Welcome to your morning meditation.
My name is Elena and I will be your guide.
Use this meditation first thing after you wake up to start your day.
Before you check any messages or read news,
As you start the day with my voice and guidance,
You'll notice that the grounding and centering effect of this meditation stays with you throughout the day.
As we begin,
Come to sit on a pillow or a folded blanket.
Let your spine lengthen as you take your next breath.
And as your spine lengthens,
Notice that there's more space available now between the vertebrae and the position feels more comfortable and spacious.
Yes,
Just like this.
You can imagine the back of your neck lengthening and the crown of your head reaching outward as your sit bones remain stable and grounded.
This will decompress the spine and ensure that your energy can travel freely through the central channel which runs along your spine.
A part of your attention will continue to focus on your posture so that you can keep it up throughout our practice and throughout the day.
Now take a few deep,
Slow,
Relaxing breaths in and out.
Bring your attention to your physical sensations,
Your breathing,
Your heartbeat,
The temperature of your body,
The energy flowing through your body.
Very good.
Now let all of your attention focus on your breath and on your body.
Begin to notice all of the physical sensations in more and more detail.
The sensations on your skin,
In your fingertips,
In your belly,
In your chest.
All sensations are welcome.
There's nothing to block or ignore.
There's nothing you can possibly do wrong.
Gently focus on every sensation that is present right now.
Observe your body and how with every breath you are experiencing a feeling of being alive.
Zoom in on that feeling of aliveness.
As the breath flows,
You're watching life flow through you.
As the sensations change moment by moment,
You're observing life,
Yourself as an expression of life and the universal life that you are a part of.
It's just like watching the ocean waves.
The waves appear to have their own shape and their own individual expression.
Yet they never cease to be a part of the ocean.
They emerge out of the ocean.
They show and express themselves and then merge with the ocean again,
Repeating the cycle over and over again through a variety of shapes that the waves assume as they're formed.
Just like this,
You are both the wave and the ocean.
Just like this,
Just like this,
You are in a constant process of individuation and merging back with all that is,
Moment by moment.
What a privilege and joy to be alive in this moment and to feel connected to the deeper parts of yourself and everything that exists.
From the core of your being,
Observe your breath transforming into the deep feeling of gratitude for this life,
For this opportunity to grow,
Transform and evolve.
A feeling of gratitude that recognizes a gift of every experience and encounter in your life and how all of them were a part of a bigger picture,
Directing you towards your biggest growth.
Gratitude for this moment right now,
When you get to write your own story and be the architect of your life from this point onwards.
Gratitude for this morning and every other morning as a chance to experience the adventure of being alive and a fresh new start filled with infinite possibilities.
Gratitude for the magic and beauty of this human body that is your holy temple for this lifetime.
The body that is made of earth and stars.
Gratitude for this body that is always acting in your best interest,
That's always on your side and that has a nearly miraculous ability to heal and regenerate itself moment by moment.
Gratitude for the ancestors whose DNA became your body and who are still alive in you right now.
Gratitude for the generations that came before.
And who are energetically still connected to you,
Protecting and supporting you every step of the way.
Gratitude for the perfection of this planet,
Our shared home that provides us with everything we could ever need and more.
Gratitude for your creativity,
Your loving heart,
Your brilliant mind and the way you make this planet better just by the sheer fact of your existence.
You enrich it so much with your uniqueness and with your love.
Come back to your breath awareness now.
