Self-compassion is not something abstract. It is a daily practice of choosing what supports your wellbeing instead of what drains it. In this talk, we look at how a single loving choice can shift the direction of your whole life. When you listen to yourself with honesty and act in a way that protects your energy, you begin to feel guided, steady, and deeply supported from within.

What can you do right now to become more self-compassionate?

Right now.

We make choices all the time.

Small choices.

Big choices.

We struggle over choices.

We think about choices.

When making a choice,

Ask yourself,

What would I do if I truly loved myself?

What would I do if I truly loved myself?

And then pause and then wait for the answer.

And then you'll always know what to do.

As an act of self-compassion.

And let absolutely everything you do become an act of self-compassion.

And then your life starts to flow in the direction that you actually want.

Not the direction someone expects,

Or the direction someone is pressuring you in,

Or all your shoulds,

Or all your energy burning activities.

It starts to flow in a way that gives you energy,

That lights you up.

And that makes you feel really good because you're taking care of something really deep every time you make a decision.
