Today's topic is,
Now is the Beginning of Your Future.
To most of us,
Happiness seems like an impossible dream forever just around the corner.
Why is it that so few of us find what everyone is looking for?
Is happiness an illusion like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
What is the secret to capturing this dream and making it a reality?
To find happiness,
You first have to know what you are looking for.
I can't tell you exactly what will make you happy.
Only you can do that.
But I can tell you what happiness is.
It is waking up in the morning,
Realizing you don't know what the day will bring,
But having confidence that you'll be able to handle the situations as they arise.
Happiness is being free to live each day to its fullest,
Being able to squeeze as much as you can out of every minute.
It is being in control of your life.
Most of us spend our lives looking for happiness in all the wrong places.
We hope getting a new car,
A bigger house,
Or a raise will bring that feeling of contentment,
Only to find it makes little difference.
When increasing our financial status doesn't work,
We try having a child or more children,
Changing jobs,
Spouse,
Etc.
The list of if-onlies is as long as some people's lives.
They spend their existence on this earth searching for something as close as themselves.
To find happiness,
You only have to look within yourself.
Here is where it all starts and where it all ends.
The relationships we have with others only add to the foundation of personal happiness we build for ourselves.
You cannot depend on others to make you happy.
Because it is up to you,
This dream of happiness can become a reality in your life.
Only you are able to provide yourself with the kind of happiness that stays with you during the difficult times.
