Before thoughts fully line up for the day,
Allow yourself to rest in this in-between moment.
The space where awareness is awake but effort hasn't started yet.
Rather than focusing on your breath or your body,
Begin by noticing what is already being noticed.
The music to this track.
You don't need to identify it or label it in any way,
Just let the sound arrive and pass on its own.
Now notice the light around you,
Whether it's a light in the room or the light outside a window,
Or just the color of something in the space around you.
This noticing is a sense of being here.
Now gently shift your attention to the space around your experience rather than what's inside it.
Notice the quiet background that holds everything.
You are not doing awareness,
You are allowing it.
And as you rest in this open noticing,
Feel how little effort it requires.
Awareness is already awake,
You're simply letting it stretch.
Thoughts may appear,
Plans,
Reminders,
Fragments of the day ahead.
Instead of following them,
Notice the moment they dissolve back into the silence.
That return is where calm lives.
Let that calm widen.
Now within this open awareness,
Gently notice a sense of freshness,
Like a mental window opening,
The mind feeling more clear,
Uncluttered and available.
Not empty,
Just ready for the day.
And if you want you can welcome these affirmations,
Just let them float rather than repeat them.
I am present.
I am open to this day.
I don't need to rush my awareness.
Stay with this simplicity of being aware for the rest of your day.
No techniques or trying too hard,
Just presence noticing itself.
And as this meditation closes,
Let awareness naturally narrow back into your morning,
Carrying clarity,
Steadiness and a quiet optimism with it.
Know that this awareness is not something you leave behind,
It's something that moves with you throughout your day.
