Welcome to your meditation.
As part of the Balancing Your Brain series,
We will be focusing on three chakra balancing meditations,
And this is one of them.
During these meditations,
You will be directing your attention to your three internal brains,
Which include your third eye chakra or mind,
The heart chakra or heart,
And your solar plexus chakra or your gut.
The concept of the three brains refers to the idea that our nervous system is made up of three primary centres of intelligence,
Each with its own unique characteristics and functions.
These three brains are the head brain,
Also known as the neocortex or thinking brain,
Responsible for conscious thought,
Reason and logic.
Then there is the heart brain,
Known as the cardiac plexus or feeling brain,
Responsible for emotions,
Intuition and the perception of subtle energy.
Finally,
The gut brain,
Known as the enteric plexus or survival brain,
Responsible for instinct,
Reflexes and bodily functions like digestion.
Together,
These three brains work in harmony to regulate our thoughts,
Emotions and bodily functions,
Helping us to adapt and respond to the world around us.
So let's begin.
So before we begin,
I want you to find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
You can sit on a chair,
Be cross-legged in lotus position on the floor or lying down in your bed.
Do whatever makes you feel comfortable and warm.
If you experience any thoughts or distractions,
Simply notice them and then return your focus to my words and the soothing,
Reiki healing energy.
Now close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
In through your nose and out through your mouth,
Focusing on your breath as it enters and leaves your body.
And again,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
And I want you to do that for a few more seconds.
Imagine a warm and bright white light surrounding your body.
This light is full of love and comforting reiki healing energy.
Now repeat the following affirmation in your head.
I am now channeling reiki energy through my crown chakra and into my body.
Allow this warm light to flow into your body,
Calming your mind and relaxing your muscles.
Let the warm light fill your body and slowly remove any stress or areas of tension or discomfort in your body.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Feel a wave of relaxation go down your body,
From your head away your toes.
Now focus your attention on your heart chakra,
Located in the centre.
Visualise a beautiful and warm green light radiating into your heart chakra.
Take a moment to feel the warming energy filling up your heart and imagine your heart chakra spinning.
This warm and soothing green light will slowly heal your heart,
Clearing any past fears,
Frustrations or anger you hold within.
As you feel the green light filling your heart with healing energy in your head,
You are going to say clear three times.
Clear,
Clear,
Clear.
This warm and soothing green light will slowly help fill you with hope and self esteem,
Clearing any hurt you are holding from grief and giving you inner strength and resilience.
As you feel the green light filling your heart with healing energy in your head,
You are going to say clear three times.
Clear,
Clear,
Clear.
This warm and soothing green light will slowly help you love and centre yourself and clear any hurt from negative relationships in your life.
As you feel the green light filling your heart in your head,
Say clear three times.
Clear,
Clear,
Clear.
Now as you take some calming deep breaths in and out,
Imagine that green light flowing into your heart and growing stronger and brighter,
Flowing into your body and filling you with peace,
Love and joy.
Your body is feeling lighter and more relaxed.
You are now going to give thanks to your heart,
Repeating the following in your heart.
I want to thank you.
I want to express my gratitude for all you do for me.
You are the driving force behind my life,
Ensuring my continued well-being.
You are my constant companion,
Filling me with determination and strength when I need it the most.
You are the source of my emotions,
Sending waves of peace,
Love and happiness throughout my body.
You allow me to feel unconditional love and you push me to love myself and share that love with others.
Thank you for being there to celebrate my successes and for comforting me in my sorrows.
As you take some calming deep breaths in and out,
Imagine that the green light flowing into your heart chakra is growing stronger and brighter,
Flowing into your body and filling you with abundance and contentment.
Your body is feeling lighter and more relaxed.
You are now going to say the following three healing affirmations in your head.
I am filled with love and compassion.
I am at peace with myself and the world around me.
I am healed and I am whole.
Now focus your attention on the warming,
Reiki healing energy surrounding your body.
Imagine you are breathing this radiant white light in through your nose.
Let it fill your entire body and radiate from your heart centre as you breathe out.
As you continue to imagine this,
Feel relaxing and warming sensations for you to become fully absorbed in this meditation.
The following bell will take you deeper into your heart healing meditation,
During which you are protected by the reiki healing energy.
You are slowly going to come to the end of your heart healing meditation.
Slowly begin to move your fingers and your toes.
Slowly rotate and then take three in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now take your time and when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and gently stretch your body.
You are feeling revitalised,
Refreshed and glowing with love for you,
Your body and those around you.
Place your hand on top of your heart and say,
I am love and I love you.
Spend a few moments reflecting on the experience and how you felt during the meditation.
You can repeat this meditation as often as you like to help strengthen your connection to your heart chakra and the energy of reiki.
