Greetings,
Friends.
My name is Evelyn with Mercury Rhythm.
There has been a surge of interest in astrology over the past few years,
And if you are listening to this,
I imagine your curiosity has been piqued as well.
So you've heard about your sun sign,
Your moon sign,
Mid-heaven,
But first of all,
What does this all mean?
Let's break it down.
What is an astrology chart or a natal chart?
It is your cosmic treasure map.
It is a map of where the planets were in their journey around the sun at the exact moment you were born.
The sun sign is the most commonly known as all that is needed to calculate your sun sign is your date of birth.
The sun stays in a zodiac sign for about 28 days.
All right,
So let's get to the good part.
How do you calculate your natal chart?
Well,
There are many free resources available online,
Free to get your natal chart.
What you'll need is your date,
Place,
And an accurate time of birth.
Why an accurate time of birth?
Because each of the zodiac signs get to shine throughout the day,
And your rising sign is calculated by which sign was dawning on the eastern horizon the exact moment you were born.
Without the time,
You won't be able to accurately calculate your rising sign or the houses.
As we are aware,
Astrology dates back thousands of years.
Humans have tracked the movement of the heavens since civilization dawned.
A birth chart is an insightful tool to help us to be the best version of ourselves.
It is a great way to understand our blind spots and use those for personal growth,
Development,
And self-improvement.
I know that for me personally,
It has been exceptionally insightful to help me understand my childhood,
What has occurred in my life,
How to move forward and heal,
And also how to have a better relationship with my daughter and with others.
I am lucky to have a therapist who is also an astrologer.
So let's talk about what it looks like.
When you pull up a birth chart,
You will see that it looks like a circle that is split into 12 pieces with many symbols that are called glyphs throughout.
You may recognize some of them.
The circle is divided into 12 slices.
The slices are referred to as houses.
Each of the houses refer to a certain part of your life,
Yourself,
Your early education,
The way you make money,
The way others see you,
Your daily routines,
And each of the houses pertain to a zodiac sign.
You may have heard that you have all the zodiac signs in your chart somewhere,
And this is why.
Each house is ruled by a zodiac sign.
You have your birth chart and you see all these small symbols called glyphs.
Take a look at the one that is a circle with a little circle within.
That is your sun.
Your moon is depicted by a moon sign,
And your rising sign is an arrow or will read ASC.
Okay,
So now that you have your rising sign,
If you do find a horoscope,
I would recommend that you read your rising sign horoscope.
You will often find that you relate much more to your rising sign with a horoscope than your sun.
Thank you so much for listening.
In my next audio,
I will discuss zodiac in houses in further detail.
