This is a 12-minute guided grounding meditation that begins with square breathing to bring you into a state of rest and restoration, moves into connection with self and mother earth to bathe in solid, grounding, loving energy and release that which no longer serves you. Welcome,

Friend.

Have a seat.

Settle in.

Take a few deep breaths and place your hands,

Palms down on your thighs.

Soften your gaze or gently close your eyes,

Settling into where you are,

Right here,

Right now.

We will begin this session with a guided set of square breathing.

We'll lead you through an inhale to a count of four,

Holding for a count of four,

Exhale to a count of four,

And again holding for a count of four.

We will complete six rounds of this together.

We'll begin with a deep inhale,

And exhale,

Allow your breath to return to its natural pace,

Depth,

Rhythm,

Looking for a steady calm.

Now I invite you to connect with your inner energy source.

You may feel this in your belly,

In your heart space,

A combination thereof.

There is no right or wrong here.

You're just connecting with yourself.

Give a few breaths into the space.

Really feel it.

You might feel a certain kind of vibration or get a sense of delight or a color.

Again,

There is no right or wrong.

It's just you.

Now from this space,

I invite you to imagine roots extending down to the parts of your body in contact with the floor or a chair,

Extending deep into the earth,

Connecting with this solid supportive loving energy.

These roots going deep to the core,

Finding a solid connection with Mother Earth.

Feel this support and love coming from the earth up through your roots into your body,

Filling your energy center with love and compassion,

Strength and stability.

Breathing this in,

Allowing it to expand through your body,

Permeating every cell,

Compassion,

Kindness,

Solidity,

Groundedness,

Creating these deep roots from which you are supported so that you can grow and expand.

Spend some time here just breathing this in,

Allowing this connection to nourish the body,

Your soul,

Your spirit.

Money bought me Now I invite you to release the roots down into the earth,

Disconnect from them,

Allowing them to take with them anything that no longer serves you.

Take a deep breath into your energy center and with your next exhale,

Disconnect from all of the roots,

Allowing them to fade away,

Allowing Mother Earth to take them so that the energy can be transformed.

Slowly,

Gently beginning to come back to the space you are in,

Moving your fingers a little,

Moving your body in whatever way feels good right now.

We'll close today's practice with three breaths together.

Deep inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Taking your time to fully come back to this present moment.

And when you are ready,

Gently opening your eyes,

Moving your body a little,

Bringing your hands to heart as a sign of gratitude.
