It is important for us to take the time to define our identity.

When we have a clear understanding of who we are,

It becomes easier to act with integrity and purpose.

Every grey zone creates space for mediocrity.

I mean that if you are unsure of your identity or values,

You may find yourself settling for less than you wish for.

By contrast,

When you have a strong sense of self,

You are better equipped to make decisions that align with your goals and values.

For example,

I love to say that I am a healthy,

Fit and a high achiever.

However,

Simply saying these things is not enough.

To truly act as a healthy,

Fit and high achiever person,

I must have a clear understanding of what those qualities mean to me.

I keep asking myself,

Would a healthy person eat that?

What would a high achiever do in my situation?

And that really helps me to guide my actions.

Ultimately,

The key to becoming our best selves and creating the life we want is to keep defining who we are and who we want to be.

So,

Who are you?

How would you like to define yourself?

Do your actions,

Words and thoughts align with that?

Take some time to reflect on your values,

Interests and goals for each category of your life.

The more you define who you want to be,

The more you'll act accordingly.
