In this meditation practice,
I will be supporting you in reconnecting with your heart so that you can start to feel into that space inside of you so that you can allow it to come into greater aliveness.
So to begin with,
Find a comfortable posture and position.
Notice the way you're breathing in this moment.
Is your breath shallow?
Is it deep?
Are you holding your breath?
If you are noticing that your breath is very shallow and quick,
I invite you to see if you can make your exhale longer than your inhale.
This will allow your body to naturally start to relax.
And then from here,
I invite you to take heart-focused breaths.
So allowing your awareness and attention to move down into your chest area and see if you can let the breath move into your chest area as if you're inhaling and exhaling out of your heart space.
If you're sensing that there's a lot of energy wrapped up in your head or your mind,
Just allow that energy to sink down from your head down into your heart space.
Let it flow towards your heart.
And then from here,
I invite you to place one hand or both hands on your chest,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
And sense or visualize that there is golden light that is moving from your hand into your chest.
And let that golden light penetrate or move through any obstacles,
Resistances,
Walls that you've put up around your heart space,
Gently dissolving them so that you can allow your heart to soften,
Releasing and letting go of past pain,
Tension that you've been carrying inside of your chest and inside of your heart.
You could visualize that golden light massaging your heart space.
You could also visualize that golden light spiraling through your heart space,
Allowing healing to take place,
Taking your time,
Being patient with yourself,
Allowing the softness in your heart to start to melt.
There's no need to make anything happen.
There's no need to push your heart to soften or to relax.
From here,
I invite you to tune into your inner wisdom,
Healer in you,
Your inner intelligence.
Ask that part of you to show you one image that would feel most healing and supportive of your heart.
I invite you to place that image,
Picture inside of your heart space.
It could be an image of your heart.
Just spend some time visualizing it inside of your heart space.
Remembering to also include the back of your heart placed behind your shoulder blades,
As well as the front,
The chest area.
Allow your breathing to deepen.
If you sense that you are continuing to release stagnant energy,
Experiences from the past,
Just feel it moving down your torso,
Through the pelvis and then down into the groin.
When emotions arise or you feel tears in your eyes,
Just allow for that to be there.
It's okay to cry.
From here,
I invite you to take a couple of gentle breaths into your body and start to gently and gradually bring this practice to completion.
