Oh Glenda I HAD to listen to this FOUR times, because each time, I fell off to sleep, n awoke in the parts of the curtain flowing and her dad's explanation of her mums story. There was something in all that that took me back to my mums unexplained death. It was then that I realized why I was soo drawn to this particular story. It was as if God was giving me some closure. I cried soo much at the end because it took me right back to Emily's age, & I felt like I was listening to my own dad, weirdly this story was soo much like my parents but in reverse, but in THAT aspect I got to meet all of my dads family whilst I was very young , (I am a gran now)& there is STILL soo much LOVE between ALL of us today. Thank you Glenda, I simply adore ALL your stories. God bless you.

My mom's favorite author and my second favorite author . The Emily books are intriguing because they are more autobiographical... I remember laughing out loud during the Anne of green gables series. Once again you shared a hidden gem in your wonderfully compassionate voice. Thank you Glenda. 😊

… Uh… WOW! That touched places in my heart that have been locked away for many years. My father was absent but my grandfather was very much like Douglas Star. From a poor family, whereas my grandmother had been adopted into a family much like the Murray’s of New Moon (Hammond’s of Hilland Dale actually). Their relationship was also much the same. My grandmother was cut out of the weathly Hammond’s lives when she chose to live Bob Doup. A simple, genuine, honest man who worshiped the ground his dear Sarah walked on. He worked very hard, loved very deep and died far too young. He was my rock. He set the bar for me of what a man should be WAY to high! He once told me that I was on the throne of his life, if I was willing to share it with grandma. They are both gone now, and life has been more difficult than most could imagine for me since they past through that curtain. But I know they are there waiting for me to share my deep love with the world. You are a blessing in my life Glenda. You are arousing things within me that I thought were gone, or at least broken beyond repair. Thank you again and again for sharing this story and your gentle, beautiful voice with us all.
