Explore MeditationIn 1995 I was 24 years old, and I was getting disenfranchised with human folly. I realized my own suffering was just a reflection of what the whole world was going through. That was when I saw (and then read) "Seven Years in Tibet", and I was floored by the level of compassion the Buddhists exuded. It was a revelation that such commitment to non-harm could completely revamp human life if more people adopted it. So, I began to meditate, after reading some really simple instructions, which I worked with alone for years. Breathe in for 3 counts, hold for 3 counts, and release for 3 counts, and repeat. Now if I'm going to help you on this journey, I need to tell you a not-so-secret secret. The last sentence in the previous paragraph is honestly all you need. That simple practice took me from fully self-absorbed, to a full blown kundalini awakening in 2000. I then learned Kriya yoga from Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, and Trika yoga and the Sri Chakra Puja from Swami Chetanananda.
