Welcome to this guided meditation for sleep.

Tonight we are going on a unique journey,

A tranquil adventure with floating lanterns.

This gentle imagery will guide you into a deep,

Peaceful rest.

Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position in your bed,

Allowing your body to relax completely.

And now close your eyes and take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and exhale softly through your mouth.

Let's begin.

Picture yourself standing at the edge of a calm,

Moonlit lake.

The air is cool and soft against your skin.

And the faint sound of water lapping at the shores creates a soothing rhythm.

All around you,

The night is peaceful with only the gentle glow of fireflies dancing in the distance.

In your hands,

You hold a small paper lantern.

It's warm to the touch,

Glowing softly from within.

This lantern is special.

It carries your intentions for peace,

Relaxation and the release of the day's burdens.

Take a moment to breathe deeply and reflect.

What are you ready to release?

Maybe it's stress,

A worry or the lingering weight of the day.

Imagine placing these feelings into the lantern,

Watching as they transform into soft,

Glowing light inside.

Feel the lantern becoming lighter,

As if it's ready to float effortlessly on the water.

As you look around,

You notice the shore lined with more lanterns,

Each glowing with its own unique color and light.

These represent the dreams and wishes of others,

A collective energy of peace and rest shared across the lake.

Now gently place your lantern onto the water.

As it touches the surface,

It begins to float effortlessly,

Its light reflecting in the shimmering ripples across the lake.

Watch as it drifts slowly away,

Carrying with it everything you've chosen to let go of tonight.

Breathe deeply as you watch it glide further into the distance.

Notice how the further it goes,

The lighter your body feels.

Your shoulders relax,

Your chest softens,

Your breath becomes steady and calm.

You feel a sense of relief,

As though a weight has been lifted.

Your lantern joins the others,

Floating together like a constellation of stars on the water.

You see them spreading across the lake,

Creating a luminous path toward the horizon.

As you watch,

You feel yourself merging with this tranquil scene.

Imagine that you're weightless,

Floating just above the water,

Carried by the gentle currents.

The glow of the lanterns reflects in your heart,

Filling you with warmth,

Safety and calm.

Now,

Allow yourself to drift along with the lanterns.
