We are all blessed with the gift of intuition - the ability to receive sacred guidance to help us navigate life in the best way possible. Intuition is always available to us but it can become hard to distinguish if we've ignored it for too long, choosing to do what we think we 'should' do rather than following our true path. The good news is that we can reconnect with our intuition relatively easily to find the answers that we are seeking and this short meditation will help you to do so.

Namaste,

My name is Hannah,

Welcome to this short meditation to awaken your intuition.

We all have an innate compass installed within us to help us navigate life,

We just need to learn to listen to it.

The more you practice connecting to your intuition,

The stronger it becomes and the easier it is to hear.

So getting comfortable now,

Sitting or lying down,

Feeling supported,

Close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in and feel the air travelling up through your nose,

Your belly and chest expand,

Exhale and let go,

Noticing how soothing the out-breath is,

You feel your body instantly relax,

Again breathing fully,

Feeling your body expand,

Exhale and let go even more,

Letting relaxation sweep over you,

One final time,

Breathe in,

Now hold it and let go,

Feeling yourself relax another 10% more.

This is your time for yourself,

By spending this short time now focusing on developing your intuition,

You're investing in yourself and your future.

Now let's start to notice the nature of the mind,

Maybe you're thinking about tasks that you need to do,

Or the day ahead,

Or something that happened in your past.

These everyday thoughts play loudly in our conscious awareness and this clouds our ability to hear our intuition when it wants to communicate with us.

Imagine these thoughts are just passing by,

Like the scenes out of the window of a train,

Simply coming and going,

Don't latch onto them,

Simply notice and let them go with ease.

Imagine you're on a slow moving train and you watch your thoughts pass by as you gaze out the window,

Just observe and watch them come and go,

Come and go,

Drifting away.

Your thoughts are quieting now,

They're in the distance.

Now imagining you're in an ancient forest that holds the wisdom of the world within its core,

It's a summer day and sunshine is streaming through the leaves,

There's a carpet of earth underfoot,

It feels soft and cool beneath your bare feet,

You're slowly walking along a well-worn path,

You can smell damp moss,

Pine needles and tree bark,

You can hear birds in the distance and the sound of a stream nearby,

You follow the noise of the water,

You turn a corner and you see a magnificent waterfall,

You have a strong feeling that there is something behind the waterfall that you need to see,

You honour that feeling,

You step behind the waterfall and you find yourself in a large cave,

It's filled with bright candles offering a warm glow,

There's a circular rug in the middle of the floor made out of woven grass,

You sit down cross-legged on the rug,

You feel safe and at peace,

It's time to call in your intuition,

In your mind say,

Intuition I am here and I am listening,

I am open to hearing your wisdom,

This profound knowledge is accessed through subtle awareness,

Intuition speaks to everyone in different ways,

You may feel a body sensation,

A sense of yes or no,

A hunch or a deep knowing or you may hear words,

Phrases or even images,

All of this information is offered to guide you to make the right choices,

However your intuition speaks to you,

Acknowledge that you appreciate this guidance,

Say the following statements in your mind,

I trust my intuition,

My intuition speaks to me constantly,

The more I quiet my mind the better my intuitive abilities,

My intuition guides me,

All I need to do is listen closely,

I respect and honour my intuition,

My intuition is one of my greatest gifts,

You are feeling very relaxed now,

Allow yourself to go even deeper into relaxation,

Breathing in understanding and breathing out calm and centred,

You are now going to communicate directly with your intuition and ask it a question,

You can ask anything that you desire,

If you're not sure what to ask you can simply ask,

Is there anything I need to know right now or is there any practical advice you'd like to share with me today,

Asking a direct yes or no question can be a great way to start connecting to your intuition,

For example you could ask,

Should I take this new work opportunity,

Listen for the answer,

It will come from your body,

Even if you hear the word yes or no it will still resonate from the body and not the mind,

If you feel sensations in your gut,

A yes feels light and bright,

A no feels dense and heavy,

Or maybe you will feel just an instinctual knowing,

We will now go into a couple of minutes of silence for you to ask and receive,

Pausing and listening,

Okay so slowly coming back now,

Noticing your breath,

Noticing the space you're in,

Start to wriggle your fingers and toes,

Whenever you are ready taking a nice deep breath and open your eyes,

Grab a journal and make a note of anything you received,

If you didn't receive any guidance just now,

Have faith that the answers will come,

Maybe in an hour later on today or at some point in the near future,

Remain open and you shall receive know that you can return to this meditation at any time thank you so much for practicing with me today,
