Sometimes we walk in trust.
Sometimes we know exactly the next right steps.
Where we're headed and how we're going to get there.
This meditation,
Though,
Is for the times when we don't.
When we can't,
Or when we've lost our spiritual edge,
Or we feel stuck or lost.
Or broken.
Today's meditation is about finding the strength that lives within us,
Even when it's not easy.
Let's start by taking one deep breath in,
Inhale.
And exhale.
And on your next breath,
Try to inhale with the thought,
I have all that I need within me here and now.
So inhale.
I have all that I need within me here.
And now an exhale.
You have all that you need within you here and now.
Even if it doesn't feel easy.
Even when things aren't working out the way you'd hoped.
Even when the sky is gray and you can't find a glimmer of the sun.
If you dig deep.
There's a flame that never goes out.
There's a flame that can light your way when everything around you feels dark.
There's a flame that's your strength when you can't find it any other way than to turn inward.
Because inward is where the highest version of you sits and waits for you to come back.
Always there,
Your constant supporter.
Even when it doesn't always feel that way.
I invite you to imagine that you're stranded on a deserted island,
And all you can see for many miles or kilometers is what seems like an endless ocean.
The island is small,
You don't have any shelter,
No food that you know of.
And all you want is to get home.
You've got three paths.
The first path is the practical one.
You look around,
Survey the land,
And scope out what there is that you can build with.
You can find some shelter,
Try to find some way to find food,
To forage for food or hunt for food.
And you do what you can to set up camp so that you'll be okay.
The second path is to go into a pit of despair.
This is the path that you choose when you can't see a way out.
This is the path that we fall into when life starts to feel overwhelming.
When we feel like we're out of options or when we feel powerless.
We wonder,
What's the point?
Why try?
And we settle into the feeling of discomfort,
Wearing it like a security blanket,
Cuddled up in our own feelings of hopelessness.
Maybe wondering when someone might come to the rescue.
The third path is to hope,
To try and to believe that there's more out there.
That somewhere off the island,
Your home is waiting for you,
And it's beautiful.
Which path will you choose?
Because every day you get to choose.
Every moment you get to choose.
Which path do you choose in this moment?
I invite you to choose the third path.
What would it feel like to be hopeful?
What would it be like to remember how great it is to keep trying?
What might happen if you believed that there's more waiting for you?
The third path is a place where the universe swoops in to support you.
Everything you could ever want begins with you choosing to do something different today.
Because the same usually doesn't carry us for very long.
The same is usually the first path or the second.
But the third path is the place where growth happens.
It's the place where the unknown leads us to things that we can never have imagined.
It's a place where magic happens.
I want you to sit with the feelings of taking that third path.
And I invite you to repeat these affirmations with me.
Number one,
I choose to believe that there's more waiting for me.
2.
My inner flame lights the way when I let it.
Number three,
I have all that I need within me,
Here and now.
Number four,
I'm willing to do something different today.
And number five,
I'm not lost.
I've always known the way home.
And as we come to the end of this meditation,
I invite you to carry the feelings of hope and choice and the belief in what's possible within you every day and whenever you can all through the day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be here with me today.
I'm Ilya Grace,
And until next time,
Trust in your practice and in your own inner guidance,
And allow the universe to work its magic.
