Take a moment to get really comfortable.
Relax your shoulders and clench your jaw.
And very gently close your eyes.
In this practice.
We are going to connect with the new moon in Libra.
A new moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle.
It's the moment when the Moon disappears from our sky.
Leaving us in darkness before the light slowly begins to return.
It is the moment when the moon disappears from the night sky.
Leaving us in darkness before the light slowly begins to return.
And this darkness can offer us a natural pause.
It is almost giving us permission to mirror nature and turn inwards,
To listen.
And to become conscious of where we want to place our energy.
My New Moon Meditations are a time for setting intentions.
But rather than thinking about everything you want to achieve or change,
I like to guide you to think of an intention simply as a direction.
Something you want to give more of your attention and energy to as a new cycle begins.
This new moon is in Libra.
The sign represented by the scales and associated with balance,
Harmony and relationships.
Libra invites us to look at the balance within our own lives.
The balance between what we give and what we receive.
Between looking after other people and looking after ourselves.
Between action and rest.
Speaking and listening.
Holding on and letting go life moves,
Our needs change,
Sometimes we need to give more,
Sometimes we need to receive more sometimes we need to move forward and sometimes we need to pause Balance is about being able to notice when we have moved too far away from ourselves and knowing how to come back And this new season naturally begins to turn us inward as the light starts to change.
And the pace of the natural world begins to slow down.
So this new moon gives us an opportunity to consider not only the lunar cycle ahead,
But the season.
What do you want more of this autumn?
What deserves your energy.
And what might need to change in order for you to feel more balanced,
More connected.
And more like yourself.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Let's do that one more time,
A deep breath in through your nose.
And slowly breathe out through your mouth.
To allow your body to become a little bit heavier.
A little bit more relaxed really give yourself permission to be here.
And now imagine that you are standing in a completely dark space.
There are no walls,
There are no edges that you can see.
Just a deep darkness surrounding you Imagine looking around.
And noticing how still everything feels.
There are no interruptions here,
There is nothing demanding your attention.
There is nothing pulling you in any direction.
This is the darkness of the new moon the space before the first slither of light appears again.
Just allow yourself to become really comfortable here.
You don't need to know what comes next.
You are safe,
You are calm.
You are a little bit curious mainly you just feel peaceful,
Relaxed yourself.
As you stand in the darkness.
Imagine that a small point of light begins to appear in the distance to your left.
At first it is barely visible.
But slowly it begins to grow.
Becoming a soft pool of warm light.
Take a moment to notice it notice its shape It's brightness.
Maybe it has a colour.
This won't be the same for everyone.
And then on the other side of you to your right you see another point of light begin to appear.
It becomes brighter and larger.
Until you find yourself standing between these two pools of light.
Take a moment to notice that shape,
Its brightness,
Maybe it is a different color.
And without trying to decide what these lights mean.
Just allow them to represent two sides of your life.
That are asking to come back into balance Maybe one represents everything you give and the other everything you receive.
Maybe one represents your relationships with others and the other one your relationship with yourself.
Or they could represent work and rest.
Holding on and letting go,
Or maybe something completely different for you.
Just connect whatever appears for you and trust it So look towards one light and then to the other and really notice whether they feel the same.
Is one brighter or larger?
Is there one that's closer to you?
They're one that you instinctively want to move towards.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to judge just notice what your own mind is showing you and ask yourself quietly.
Where in my life am I being invited back into balance?
And then just listen,
Notice what comes naturally.
This might come to you as a thought,
An image,
A feeling.
Just listen.
And now imagine the two lights beginning to move slowly towards you.
With every breath.
They come a little bit closer.
Until you are standing with one light on either side of your body.
Feel the energy of both.
You don't need to choose between them,
You don't need to reject one in favour of the other Just imagine allowing yourself to receive something from both sides.
And now watch as the two lights begin to move towards each other.
Slowly and gently.
They meet in the space directly in front of your heart.
As they touch.
They begin to merge.
Becoming one single light.
See it growing brighter as the two become one.
Until there is one beautiful steady light in front of you.
Now imagine stepping forwards into that light.
Feel it surrounding your entire body.
And imagine the light moving through you.
Bringing everything back.
Towards your centre.
Anything that has felt scattered begins to settle.
Anything that has been pulling too strongly in one direction begins to soften.
And allow yourself to experience even for a few moments.
What balance feels like in your body.
And from this place,
Bring your attention to the new lunar cycle ahead.
And ask yourself.
What do I want to create space for now?
Simply notice what appears.
When you ask the question Just allow one intention to come forward.
Maybe it's something you want to begin or a relationship you want to nurture.
A boundary you want to honour or put in place.
Just let whatever comes to you feel true And imagine placing that intention into the light around you.
And watch it become illuminated.
See it really clearly for a moment.
You don't need to know exactly how you will make it happen.
The new moon reminds us that beginnings often happen.
When we can see what comes next.
And for now.
.
.
Your intention is enough.
Take a deep breath in.
And imagine drawing some of this light,
Some of this energy into your body.
And as you breathe out,
Allow it to settle somewhere inside you.
A reminder of your intention but also a reminder that whenever life begins to pull you away from your centre,
Away from balance,
You can return to yourself.
Take one more slow breath in through your nose.
And release it gently through your mouth.
I'm going to ask you to leave the visualization now and begin to notice your body again.
Notice the surface beneath you.
The sounds around you And very gently move your fingers and toes.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Carrying your intention with you into this new lunar cycle and the season ahead.
Thank you very much for meditating with me today as always.
It has been an absolute honor.
To guide you.
