When you're ready,
Close down your eyes and sit up straight and get in contact with your breathing.
Simply notice it.
Notice the air coming in through your nostrils and notice how it slightly cools the inside of your nostrils as it comes in.
And notice how your breath travels down to your belly and causes it to expand.
And notice how your chest also expands slightly as you breathe.
And as you breathe out,
Notice how your belly comes in and how the air moves up and out through your nostrils,
Warming them ever so slightly.
Now I want you to travel back in time to a moment in your life where you were faced with a crossroads moment.
A situation where you had the choice of going down two very different paths.
And this could be anything.
It could be the choice to move to a different city or to stay in your hometown.
The choice to change jobs.
The choice to courageously move into the unknown versus to stick to what's comfortable.
Now this choice could encompass anything and is unique and personal to you.
There's no need to overthink the choice of the crossroads moment.
Rather allow the first thing to pop into your mind and reflect upon how this decision has moved your life in the direction which it has gone.
Notice how this choice may have shaped your present day experience.
And now can you offer your past self gratitude for making that choice,
Whatever it may be.
Because it's thanks to that choice that you are here today in this very moment.
And whether that choice was one which led you down a difficult path or a prosperous path,
It doesn't matter.
Because it's through the difficult paths that we take that we often learn the most.
It's through the obstacles we face and overcome that we grow the most.
So whatever choice you may have made,
Show your past self gratitude and appreciation.
And now think how your life could have turned out if you'd made a different choice in that moment.
Maybe it would have been a lot better in your mind or a lot worse.
If you believe that the choice you made would have caused your life to turn out a lot better,
Then realize that's a story you're telling yourself in your mind.
Realize that maybe it wouldn't have been better and realize that you still have the possibility to move towards whatever it is you think that choice would have that choice would have allowed you to create in your life.
And conversely,
If you believe your life would have been a lot worse if you hadn't made that choice,
Then be grateful that you did make a courageous choice,
That you did choose the more difficult path,
The path that would lead you to creating a brighter future and the path that led you to this very moment.
All paths you walk contain obstacles and contain traps and pitfalls.
And it's only by venturing down different paths that we identify them,
That we can face these challenges and that we can move around these obstacles.
And no matter how challenging your path may have been,
There's always the opportunity to choose again and choose a new path right now.
This very moment is an opportunity for you to choose again,
To choose differently,
To recreate yourself in the next grandest version of who you really are.
Now slowly bring yourself back to your body.
Feel the contact points between your body and the seat you are sitting on.
Feel your breath coming and going.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and allow them to adjust to your surroundings.
