Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
The theme for today is going to focus on the heart.
Primarily we're going to be seeking to unburden the heart of any heaviness that it might be carrying and this heaviness can arise from past hurts which you may have endured or it can accumulate through unkind words like a thousand paper cuts causing the heart to gradually form a protective armoring around it to protect itself and by doing so you end up shutting down your capacity for connection with others and with life itself.
The heart is crucial for the human being in that it helps us to connect with all that is outside of us and it allows us to feel deeply all the emotions that we want to feel really love,
Compassion,
Kindness,
Joy,
Gratitude,
Peace.
These emotions are derived from the heart.
When your heart is in balance it allows for everything to flow.
There's a reason why it's at the center of your body's energy system.
It connects the upper three chakras with the lower three chakras.
You might think of it as a gateway between the two,
The higher and the lower aspects of the self,
The more airy upper thought and intuition based aspects of self with the more grounded earthly aspects of self.
So the heart is key.
It's key in communication,
It's key in creative vision,
It's key in creating a life around you which is harmonious.
If you create without heart you're likely going to create something which you do not want,
You do not truly want.
So the heart energy center is so vital and it's vital for it to come online,
To open and that's what we're doing here today.
I'm going to be guiding you through the meditation where for the most part I won't be speaking.
I will allow your heart to speak with you.
So before you go into this dialogue and we begin the meditation,
See if you can feel the area around your heart and this includes your upper chest,
Your upper back,
The ribs to the side of your heart.
How is your heart feeling today?
And be mindful not to judge any sensations as good or bad.
If you're feeling the area around your heart is being closed off or tense or even numb that's okay.
By bringing awareness to a sensation you are allowing it to heal,
You are allowing it to open,
You're allowing it to resolve itself.
Before we begin feel as truthfully and as honestly as you can into your heart space,
Allow for any images to come up and present themselves if they choose to but also there is no need to force any images to the surface,
Allow any intuitive messages to drop into your awareness but again without forcing messages to come through your thinking mind,
Allow these messages to drop in from a higher place if they so choose to.
Again there is no need to force,
All you need to do is maintain an open awareness around your heart space.
Now I'm going to leave you in this dialogue with your heart.
I will gently bring you back towards the end of this meditation when the time is right.
Allow yourself to gently soften your focus on your heart space and return to the feelings in the rest of your body.
See if you can spread this awareness from your chest to the entirety of your body and observe yourself as one unified single being.
How does it feel for your body to rest in this total unified field of awareness?
Now slowly bring yourself back to a waking state of consciousness.
I encourage you to gently move your body in any way that feels good,
Perhaps start by wiggling your toes and your fingers and shaking your head side to side and then opening your eyes also gently to take in your surroundings.
I invite you to connect in with a sense of gratitude for this practice and for yourself for choosing to so courageously open your heart in this way.
