Hello meditator,

Thank you for joining me for this Sita meditation.

Sita is a goddess known for her purity,

Her courage,

Her dedication,

Her love,

Her loyalty,

And her self-sacrificing nature.

In her story,

Sita was the consort of Rama,

Who she literally went through fire for.

In the story,

She was turned away by Rama more than once,

And yet,

Despite that,

She still held loyalty and undying love for Rama,

And undying dedication for him.

At the end of her story,

She sacrificed herself to show her loyalty,

Love,

Dedication,

And self-sacrificing nature.

In some traditional circles,

Sita is considered a queen.

She is considered someone to look up to,

To love.

In some more modern-day circles,

Some feel that we could maybe use a stronger version of love and loyalty.

So despite how you feel today,

I thought we could take this time to reflect on Sita's undying love,

Loyalty,

Dedication,

And instead of taking those qualities and manifesting them outward on someone else,

We could take this love,

This loyalty,

This courage,

This dedication,

And manifest it within ourselves,

Showing ourselves this love,

Giving ourselves this permission to be loyal and dedicated to our own personal needs,

Taking this Sita shakti,

This Sita archetype,

And applying it to ourselves.

So start now by becoming comfortable.

You can sit up or lie down,

Whatever feels best for your body.

And remember,

This is all about you right now.

This is about giving yourself some love.

So again,

Find that comfortable position.

Do whatever you need.

If you need pillows or a blanket to get your body comfy,

Take your time.

This is for no one but you right now.

You deserve this love.

And then when you're ready,

Just close those eyes.

Start to allow your physical body to settle in,

Almost sinking just a bit as you let the physical body grow heavy,

And gently drawing your awareness inward,

Maybe feeling your breath move.

And remember,

If you get distracted at any time,

Just come back to the breath.

Give yourself a few more moments to just breathe and just be.

And as you rest here,

I'd like you to think back on a time where you felt deep,

Melting love.

And maybe it was for another person,

Maybe it was a partner.

Maybe it was for a child,

Or a parent,

Or even a pet.

Just think about someone or something that you had this sense of pure love,

This sense that your whole body,

Your whole mind is nothing but love for this.

Just thinking about this brings a smile to your face,

Perhaps a quickening to your heart,

Perhaps a lightness to the body.

And if you're having trouble thinking of pure love right now for something or someone,

That's okay.

Just imagine what that would feel like.

Imagine what it would feel like to have that sense of pure,

Undying love.

Feel that all-embracing instinct to love,

To protect that person or pet,

That loyalty,

That feeling that you would sacrifice anything for them.

This is a love that asks nothing of you.

This is a love that is pure.

There's no fear,

There's no resentment,

There's no holding back.

It is just pure love.

And imagine this love starting to manifest as light around you,

Surrounding you in this bubble of love.

How would that feel?

Would there be a warmth or a tingling sensation?

Would there just be happiness?

Think about that love all around you.

What would that feel like?

What would that look like for you?

And just take some time now to rest in this pure love.

Just bask in that feeling that is just surrounding you,

Enveloping you in love.

And as you rest here,

Picturing yourself covered in love,

Let's just take this and start to turn inward,

Offering ourselves some words,

Some mantras.

May I be loved.

May I be at peace.

May my heart remain open.

May I know my own love,

Loyalty,

And strength.

May I be loved.

May I be at peace.

May my heart remain open.

May I know my own love,

Loyalty,

And strength.

May I be loved.

May I be at peace.

May my heart remain open.

May I know my own love,

Loyalty,

And strength.

Good.

Just float for a minute.

Just float in this love,

Knowing that this love is you.

You are love.

You are this light.

You are this loyalty and this strength.

This is for you and of you.

Good.

When you're ready,

Just begin to breathe deeply again.

Maybe wiggling your fingers and toes,

Slowly coming out of this fog of love,

Out of this meditation,

Taking a stretch or two,

If you need,

And eventually blinking open the eyes as we go back to our day as pure love.
