Hello meditator.
Today we are going to embody the goddess Lakshmi.
So I'd like to invite you to get comfortable.
Find a position where you can sit up tall with a long spine as if you are the goddess herself resting on the lotus and begin to close down the eyes allowing the breath to be your focus for a few moments.
As you rest here feel your feet grounding into the earth,
Your legs relaxing,
Your long tall spine,
Your shoulders resting down away from the ears,
Your heavy arms,
Open hands.
Notice your head and your closed eyes tucked in under your eyelids.
And we're going to begin to invoke the goddess now with a mantra.
Please feel free to say it to yourself or out loud.
We'll repeat it together six times.
Om Shreem Lakshmi Namaha.
Om Shreem Lakshmi Namaha.
And begin to rest here and notice if there is any shift in the physical body.
Maybe there is a buzzing or radiance.
And as you rest just start to picture the goddess Lakshmi before you.
Perhaps she is rising out of a beautiful blue ocean atop a plump lotus flower.
She rests in a beautiful golden light.
She holds a lotus in one hand and an open palm in the other.
She has the most beautiful pink sari you've ever seen.
Golden jewelry adorns her and her lush radiance black hair flows.
Picture her there in front of you and picture her golden light radiating and surrounding you.
Picture goddess Lakshmi's light filling you.
That light of love,
Of abundance,
Of joy,
And of strength begins to fill your body.
Feel Lakshmi's light come in through your crown filling your head and your torso,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Feel that light going down your arms.
Imagine your palms open and that radiance,
That golden light dripping from your fingers.
Imagine that glow within you.
How does it feel to be radiant?
Can you feel that golden light coursing through your brain,
Through your body?
Can you feel that love,
That abundance,
That generosity,
That gratitude?
And now imagine yourself moving through the world as the goddess Lakshmi,
Offering gifts and abundance,
Offering blessings and radiance and love.
How would you move as Lakshmi?
How would you speak as Lakshmi?
How would you show up in the world as Lakshmi?
Imagine yourself as that golden light.
Imagine yourself sharing that gift with those around you.
And when you're ready,
Just start to take a breath.
Begin to let all of those images and feelings dissolve.
Give your mind a moment to rest.
And as you go through your day today,
Remember that you can always call forth your inner Lakshmi.
You are always able to be radiant and generous.
You're always able to reach for that abundance and that gratitude.
It is within you.
And when we're ready,
We're just going to end our meditation today with one last Aum.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me today.
Namaste.
