Sit comfortably and gently rub your sternum,

The narrow bone in front of your heart,

Connecting ribs.

Slow your movements,

Slow into feeling.

Listen to the river flowing and slow into peace.

Thank your mind for all its work,

Thinking and remembering.

Now gift your mind rest.

Remember your breath,

Your life-giving breath tirelessly flowing in and out of you.

Fill yourself with breath and ride this current into feeling.

Align your spine and listen to your heart beating.

Feel inside your heart with a loving and nourishing breath.

Drift into feeling and surrender into peace.

You are mostly water.

You embody water's nature as a result.

Hush your mind and relax into feeling.

Relax into your body's sensations.

Fill yourself with calm breaths,

Water-like breaths.

Don't tire yourself by fighting your ever-flowing current.

You cannot hold off change.

Even your reflection is beautiful impermanence.

Look in your clear river mirror and admire your essence.

Sometimes you'll have to swim upstream to preserve yourself.

Even then,

Glow in your peaceful water nature.

Soak in your sweetness.

There is a cleansing river winding through your skeleton,

Flowing in the marrow of your bones.

This is your power,

Revitalizing all that you are.

Choose to flow on the current that is you.

Beneath fallen trees,

Through narrowing channels,

Around bends,

Across shallow beaches,

Wetting your garden's shores.

Move with the current of your breath.

Flow with minimal effort and so much grace.

Revive your being and submerge in your crisp,

Flowing water.

Your smooth riverbed stones,

Arranged snugly,

Secure your integrity.

Swirls of sand and sediment stir with movement.

Who are you beneath the layers?

Drench yourself in your discovery.

Your stream is a luscious home for fish,

Birds,

And four-footed creatures.

Just like a river provides for its inhabitants,

You provide a home for your experiences,

Feelings,

Inspirations,

And peace.

Fill yourself with breath and float on your river of peace.

More than half of your being is water.

Remember your river nature.

When tears stream down your cheeks,

You are softening your soil and watering your seeds.

Sweat quenches your garden's thirst for nourishment.

The light in your water.

Be conscious as you drink.

This water is also you.

Thank water for giving its life force to fuel yours.

Showering is a sacred submersion in your water.

Rain is medicine for your skin and hair.

Let sky's magnificent freedom touch yours.

Hydrate your being as often as opportunities present.

Experience the grandness of waterfalls,

Tides,

And ice.

Soak in pools,

Baths,

Springs,

Lakes,

And seas.

Play in the waves.

Learn their dances.

You've been riding the cyclic waves since birth.

When you feel your waves swell,

Let your feelings crest and drench you.

Recede into your river,

The peace always within you.

Let your water be water.

Breathe in peace.

Your river of knowing flows bone deep on the current of your breath.

Water is a remarkable teacher.

Guide your breath to flow calmly and become water.

Feel your in-breath cool your throat as if a crisp mountain stream.

Exhale slowly.

Linger in the space between breaths.

Breathe in and savor your breath.

With no distinct beginning,

Exhale.

Remember your water nature.

You are continuously flowing,

Even in the perceived space between breath.

Breathe in peace.

Steadily exhale and fade into stillness.

Blur the margins between breaths.

With no trace of beginning,

Let your in-breath fill you.

Exhale vast in your continuity of air,

Water,

And self.

Breathe in,

Expanding past your borders into the air around your body.

Exhale flow with the tireless current of your free river.

Feel your in-breath revitalize your voice.

With no separation in breath,

Exhale smoothly.

Your river is a continuation of life.

Your river flowed before you and will continue flowing.

Believe you are more vast than your existence.

Open your heart to water's wisdom.

Feel into your depths.

Swim in your trust.

Bathe in your calm.

Treasure the peace in your bones.

Drink your freedom.

There is nothing to solve or resolve,

Only dissolve.

Live relaxed and flow on your breath's current.
