Welcome to this sleep meditation.

I am going to tell you a story that is perfect for you to have a restorative sleep.

It is adjusted for people that snore.

It will help you through metaphors,

Restorative metaphors,

To have a smooth breath,

To clear the obstructions in the airways and to allow you to have a more restorative sleep.

So please lay down in a bed that is comfortable.

Please breathe in,

Breathe out calmly.

Please close your eyes and I am going to tell you the story of the bear and the magic wind.

Once upon a time in a dense ancient forest lived a bear named Oris.

Oris was a large bear with soft thick fur but every night when the moon was high in the sky he had trouble breathing properly.

His nose often became blocked and even though his lungs were powerful during the day,

At night he felt trapped in a silent trap.

Because of this he began to snore and the noise disturbed his sleep as it did that of his animal friends.

One evening after a day of walking in the forest Oris felt particularly tired and lay down under an ancient tree,

The intertwined branches forming a perfect roof to protect him from the night breeze.

But that night the bear decided enough was enough.

He was tired of waking up every night,

Breathless and tired.

He longed for the freedom of deep calm breathing.

At that moment a gentle wind blew through the leaves and a gentle white voice was heard.

It was the magical wind of the forest,

An ancient spirit who brought guidance and healing to animals seeking answers.

Oris said the wind in a soft voice,

I feel your worries.

Your breath caught in clouds,

Come with me.

I will show you a way to breathe freely.

Oris,

Curious and eager to help,

Rose quietly and followed the breeze to a small hidden valley filled with night flowers that bloomed under the moonlight.

Close your eyes Oris,

The wind breather.

I will guide you to free your breath and you will regain the fluidity of breathing.

Oris closed his eyes and focused on the voice of the wind which spoke to him with great wisdom.

Imagine your nose as a long tunnel,

A path that leads to a peaceful and serene place.

Sometimes this tunnel is blocked by stones,

Clouds,

Leaves that obstruct the passage.

These are the small tensions and blockages that you feel.

The wind continued.

Now imagine that each breath you take is like a soft,

Warm breeze blowing gently through this tunnel.

As you breathe deeply,

This breeze gently blows away the obstruction,

Clearing them,

Making them dissipate like clouds dispersing in the wind.

And you sense that these obstructions are being pushed away by this gentle breeze.

You sense them being cleared,

Being dissipated.

You sense the obstructions in the right nostril being cleared.

You sense the obstructions in the left nostril being cleared.

You sense them being dissipated.

Breathe deeply.

You feel your nose clearing your airways and you sense that your nose airways are widening.

You sense them widening more and more.

Always inhale deeply and you felt a pleasant warmth spread through his nose and a certain sensation as if the wind itself were purifying his body.

With each breath,

Always felt his senses clear,

His nose becoming increasingly free.

He breathes in and he breathes out.

With each breathing in,

He feels the air enter,

His nose becoming increasingly free.

He senses his sinuses clear,

The invisible stones blocking his breath.

With each inhalation becomes softer and smoother.

Good,

Whispered the wind.

Now imagine your jaw jutting out slightly like a tree and then in the wind.

Your jaw moves gently just enough to widen the space in your throat to allow air to flow even more freely.

Sense your jaw moving and widening the space in your throat.

Sense more air flowing.

We sense his jaw moving enough to widen the space in his throat.

He sensed more air flowing.

As each breath becomes softer and lighter,

Always felt a slight pressure in his jaw,

Then a gentle release.

He felt at ease,

As if a large space had opened inside him,

Allowing air to flow freely.

He no longer snored and every breath was pure pleasure.

You see,

Oris,

Everything is interconnected,

Your breath,

Your jaw.

The way you let the air into your body.

When you let go of tension and you give more space for the air,

You see,

Everything becomes more fluid,

Calmer.

Oris began letting go of the tensions.

He sensed that all of these tensions were leaving his body.

He sensed more space for the air to come.

The air movement in his nose was more fluid and calmer.

Your body knows exactly how to breathe freely,

Said the wind.

The wind was right.

His body knows exactly.

So let it do what it knows best to do.

Breathe freely.

The wind blew gently around him like a reassuring whisper and Oris felt the tension in his body dissipate.

He could feel every cell in his body relax and align,

As if everything in the forest was working together to help him breathe better.

Oris lay down under the tree again,

This time with no difficulty breathing.

His breath was deep,

Steady,

And each inhalation was a wave of tranquility.

He sensed the more that he was breathing,

The more that this breath was steady,

The more that he sensed tranquility through his breath,

Through his body.

As he was inhaling,

He was inhaling tranquility.

And this tranquility was going to all the places of his body,

Relaxing each cell of his body,

Each organ.

As he was breathing in and breathing out,

He was sensing the tranquility enter through his nose,

Going to all the places of his body,

Giving him all the tranquility that he needs to have a quiet night's sleep.

And now the wind gently drifted away,

Leaving Oris in a state of profound peace.

Remember Oris.

The wind whispered as he walked away.

Your breath is a precious gift.

You now have the space to breathe freely and each night your breathing will be calmer,

More fluid.

Let it flow effortlessly.

Let it fill with the light of the night.

Oris smiled in his sleep,

Deeply relaxed,

His breathing smooth and peaceful.

He knew he had found healing.

Every night he breathed easily,

Free and light as the wind was caressing the treetop.

This is the end of this story of Oris.
