Hi,

My name is Jennifer Ransall Smith and I want to welcome you personally to It's Your Turn,

A meditation for getting in the game of life.

I see you and I know you're ready and so I invite you to close your eyes and take a deep steady breath.

I want you to use the ground to help remind you of what you're standing on,

To remind you of your strength.

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly and let your breath guide you inward,

Connecting you to the truth about who you are.

Let's get real with one another.

You've been sitting on the sidelines way too long.

You've been watching life pass by,

Waiting for the perfect moment to step forward.

It's like double dutch.

You're watching the ropes go round and round and round and round and you're bouncing backward,

Forward,

Backward,

Forward,

Waiting for that exact moment to hop in but it never comes because the truth is there will never be a perfect moment,

Only this moment.

At this moment,

I am calling you to rise.

Let's breathe that in for a moment.

And as you exhale,

I want you to release all that you are carrying on those shoulders of yours.

I want you to release the judgment of what other people think.

I want you to release the fear of making a mistake,

Of looking foolish,

Of not being ready or equipped or smart enough.

The truth is the opinions of others do not define you.

The mistakes you may make are not failures,

They are lessons.

They're stepping stones to the life you're meant to live.

But in order to live that life,

You have to be anchored in the truth.

So why don't we anchor in some of these truths together,

Okay?

I'm going to repeat some affirmations and I'm going to have you repeat them either out loud or silently to yourself and I want you to use them to feel the power.

Number one,

I'm done shrinking.

I will no longer hide who I am to make others comfortable.

Let's go.

I am done shrinking.

I will no longer hide who I am to make others comfortable.

Number two,

My voice matters even if it shakes.

My story is worth telling even if not everyone listens.

Let's do it together.

My voice matters even if it shakes.

My story is worth telling even if not everyone listens.

Number three,

I give myself permission to be seen,

To be heard,

And to take up space.

Wow,

Let's go.

I give myself permission to be seen,

To be heard,

And to take up space.

Number four,

Mistakes are part of my growth.

They do not define me,

They refine me.

You ready?

Mistakes are part of my growth.

They do not define me,

They refine me.

The next one,

I am worthy of living fully,

Boldly,

And unapologetically.

I am worthy of living fully,

Boldly,

And unapologetically.

And the last one,

But certainly not least,

Fear does not control me.

I choose courage even when it feels hard.

Let's go.

Fear does not control me.

I choose courage even when it feels hard.

Wow,

Let's take a deep breath.

As those words settle into your body,

I want you to imagine them sinking into every cell,

Rewriting those old stories that have kept you small,

Kept you on the sidelines,

Kept you reading the book of someone else's story instead of living the title as the main character.

I need you to visualize your power.

I want you to picture yourself standing at the end of a stage.

This is your life's stage,

And you're the main character,

The one you've been watching from the wings.

The audience may be filled with people who cheer you on,

And there may be some who don't.

Simply understand your journey,

And that's okay.

Their approval is not your goal.

As you step onto the stage,

You feel a rush of freedom because you're no longer hiding.

You are radiant,

Unapologetically yourself,

And fully engaged in your life.

The spotlight doesn't diminish you.

It reveals the brilliance that has always been there.

I want you to visualize yourself self-speaking,

Laughing,

Trying,

Oh my god,

Failing,

And then succeeding.

See yourself making mistakes and learning from them.

Feel the joy of being fully alive,

Of finally stepping into your power.

Because you know what?

This is where we give ourselves permission.

You don't need permission from anyone else to live boldly,

But today you are giving yourself permission.

Permission to speak even when your voice quivers.

Permission to act even if you're afraid.

Permission to be imperfect because perfection is not the goal.

Growth is.

Permission to take up space because this life was meant to be lived,

Not watched.

So say to yourself,

I am ready.

I am ready to stop waiting,

Stop hiding,

And start living.

Let's do that once more.

I am ready.

I am ready to stop waiting,

Stop hiding,

And start living.

Let me give you a couple affirmations of courage just in case there happens to be just a tiny bit of doubt still hiding underneath the covers.

So we're going to seal this deal with this meditation of some powerful affirmations.

I am bold.

I am fearless.

I am ready to claim my place in the world.

I am bold.

I am fearless.

I am ready to claim my place in the world.

I embrace the messiness of life and the beauty of being human.

I embrace the messiness of life and the beauty of being human.

I will no longer stand on the sidelines.

I am in the game.

I will no longer stand on the sidelines.

I am in the game.

And finally,

This is my life and I will live it fully unapologetically and on my own terms.

This is my life and I will live it fully unapologetically and on my own terms.

Let's take a final deep breath,

An anchoring breath.

Feel that strength within you.

It has always been there,

Waiting for you to claim it.

And when you're ready,

I want you to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

And I want you to wiggle those fingers and toes.

And I want you to do a little jig to the side.

And I want you to feel alive because it's time to put the world on notice that you got next.

Hope this helps and I hope you have a spectacular day.

Namaste.
