Find a comfortable position with your body,
Either sitting or lying down.
Let your head and neck relax.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
Soften your shoulders.
Smooth out any tension in the face,
Forehead,
Temples,
Cheeks.
Let them all relax.
Stomach,
Hips,
Legs,
And feet all release.
And then notice if you can get even more comfortable.
Imagine you are walking in the woods on a beautiful snowy day.
You are wearing cozy clothes and the temperature is just right for you.
This is a safe and peaceful winter wonderland where you can be alone or with others.
You decide.
It's quiet with the sound of occasional snow falling from the trees.
In the distance you can even hear the sound of the ocean.
A very gentle wind whistles through the branches.
You stroll on the path and notice the sound of the snow under your boots.
It's making a satisfying crunching sound.
The air smells so crisp and clean.
Feeling awe-inspired by your surroundings,
You begin to smile as your heart fills with gratitude.
This snowy adventure reminds you of playing in the snow,
Sledding,
Building snow people,
And creating forts.
Imagine playing anything in the snow that brings you joy.
As you walk on the path,
You see an opening.
In front of you is the ocean with waves moving in and moving out.
Say to yourself,
I am relaxed and peaceful.
All of your worries are being washed away by the ocean waves,
Leaving you feeling happy,
Free,
And grateful.
We'll be here for a few moments of happy play.
Feel free to do anything at all that brings you joy.
Place one hand over your heart and the other on your tummy.
Say to yourself,
I am great.
Begin to wiggle the fingers and toes,
Making any small movements that feel comfortable for you.
Take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
Begin to gently blink the eyes open if they are closed.
We've finished our mind adventure,
But feel free to imagine the snowy adventure anytime you need a moment to relax or reset.
