Welcome to this meditation,
Attuned to beauty.
A short meditation intended to refocus our attention in a few long breaths away from the weight of the doom and gloom mindset that surrounds us and toward the levity that comes with delight and splendor.
This meditation is yours to access at any time to connect instantly with this cardinal element that you were born to sense.
Beauty is anything that inspires awe and admiration in you and a quiet beholding of the magnitude of things that makes you want to worship something.
I invite you now to come to a place of stillness whether you're seated,
Standing,
Lying down.
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your jaw,
Your face,
Open your hands.
To begin take a few deep cleansing breaths in and out and feel your shoulders and your face and your body relax with each out-breath.
Continue to breathe deeply in and out as I share these thoughts about beauty.
Kahlil Gibran,
Beauty is not in the face,
Beauty is a light in the heart.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Live quietly in the moment and see the beauty of all before you.
The future will take care of itself.
Paramahansa Yogananda.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Whenever you are creating beauty around you,
You're restoring your own soul.
Alice Walker.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
On the path beneath you is where beauty resides.
In a stone pavement,
A garden lovingly tended,
A crack in a wall,
A windblown piece of paper,
In a cloud,
In a flower,
A worm,
A decaying leaf,
In a child's innocence,
In the eyes of a stranger,
Of a beloved.
Beauty is not to be sought for it isn't lost to be found.
Beauty is as you turn into it,
Walk beside it,
Step into it,
Adjust your gaze toward it.
You don't just have a relationship with the beauty of this world,
You are its reflection.
Always,
Always,
In all states of being.
Beauty is seen in you by others who are themselves attuned to it.
Look,
Linger,
Attuned to beauty.
Meet it in the sad note of a situation,
In the tenderness of a fleeting cord.
Meet it in the earnestness of the moment and in the ferocity of the age.
Meet it willingly,
Soul to soul.
Meet it with every breath in and out.
Meet beauty and be met.
