In this meditation, I guide you through a calming journey across peaceful woodland paths and quiet water. You’ll walk slowly through soft light, feeling grounded and safe, before drifting across to a small island where your body can finally let go. The story becomes more dreamlike as you travel, helping your mind loosen and your breath settle. You’ll explore soothing nature, steady rhythms, and a sense of being held. Throughout the journey, I’ll invite you to relax, release tension, and drift into rest. You are inside the story, moving gently through it, until sleep begins to rise naturally around you.

Take a slow breath in,

Let it slip out gently,

Settle your body where you are,

Let your weight be held,

Let the space around you soften,

Let this moment arrive without effort,

Feel the air move in,

Feel it move out,

Let your breath drift lower,

Let your shoulders release their grip,

Let your thoughts loosen like knots coming undone,

Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a wide,

Peaceful stretch of land,

Old trees spread their branches overhead,

Soft light filters through their leaves,

The ground is warm beneath your feet,

A breeze moves through the woodland with an easy rhythm,

Begin to walk at a steady pace,

Let each step calm your mind,

Let each breath rest your body,

Birdsong rises in the canopy,

The land feels open and kind,

As you walk,

Notice how everything meets you gently,

The scent of moss,

The quiet hum of distant insects,

The soft rustle of leaves brushing against one another,

You are part of the landscape,

You belong here,

Take a deeper breath,

Let it fall away,

Feel your chest rise,

Feel your chest settle,

Repeat quietly inside yourself,

My body is safe,

My body is grounded,

My body can rest,

Follow the curve of the path as it opens into a wider space,

Tall grasses sway as the breeze moves through them,

They lean and rise with a soft whisper,

Ahead of you is a narrow river,

The surface reflects gentle light,

The water drifts by at an unhurried pace,

Walk toward a small wooden jetty,

A simple boat is tied there waiting for you,

Step into it with ease,

Let yourself sit comfortably,

Feel the faint rock of the boat beneath you,

Nothing rushed,

Nothing forced,

Untie the rope and let the boat begin to glide,

The quiet water carries you forward,

The world grows softer around the edges,

Trees lean over the banks,

Their reflections ripple with each movement of the boat,

You hear the gentle dip of the oars resting beside you,

You do not need to use them,

The river knows where you are going,

Let yourself relax into the journey,

Let thoughts drift past like leaves on the surface,

Let tension release from your body,

Let your breath move in a slow and steady rhythm,

Ahead of you is an island,

Low and green,

Surrounded by a soft glow of light,

The river curves toward it as if guiding you home,

As you drift closer the air cools slightly,

The scent of cedar rises,

Small birds who blow over the water,

Calling to one another,

The boat glides until the front rests gently against the island's shore,

Step out onto the soft earth,

Feel its warmth beneath your feet,

The ground is steady and alive,

It holds you with quiet strength,

Walk slowly into the heart of the island,

Tall trees encircle you like gentle guardians,

Light falls through them in soft moving patterns,

Every sound here is calm,

Every detail feels safe,

In the center of the island is a pool of clear still water,

Surrounded by smooth stones fed by a tiny spring that trickles like a whisper,

This place feels ancient and kind,

A place that asks nothing of you,

Sit by the edge of the pool,

Feel the coolness of the air around it,

Listen to the light trickle of the spring,

Let your breath settle into the same steady rhythm,

Lean forward and touch the surface with your fingertips,

The water is cool and soothing,

Imagine it absorbing any heaviness you have carried,

Any strain,

Any noise,

Any tightness hidden deep in your body,

Let the pool take it gently,

Let it ease away without effort,

Breathe in peace,

Breathe out tension,

Let the story around you soften,

Let the edges blur,

Let your mind drift like mist above the water,

The pool brightens slightly as your body relaxes,

Light ripples across the surface,

Colors shift softly,

Shapes move like dreams forming their own language,

The island grows quieter,

Your breath grows slower,

Your body feels heavier in the best possible way,

Let the world become simple,

Let it become spacious,

Let it become soft,

Thoughts float away like tiny lights rising through the trees,

Everything becomes calm,

Everything becomes gentle,

You can stay by this pool as long as you wish,

You can lie back and rest,

You can let the warmth of the island hold you,

You can let sleep approach like a quiet tide,

Slow,

Easy,

Welcoming,

Your body knows how to rest,

Your body knows how to soften,

Your body knows how to drift into sleep,

Let yourself sink into comfort,

Let your breath guide you into quiet,

Let peace fold around you like a soft blanket of light,

Stay here,

Let the pool glow softly beside you,

Let the land breathe around you,

Let the gentle story become a dream,

Let your body drift into sleep,

And as you move toward rest,

Whisper your grounding phrase one last time,

My body is safe,

My body is grounded,

My body can rest.
