This guided meditation allows an opportunity to witness the calm and peaceful presence of those we've known in our lives.
Every encounter,
At any time,
With every person,
Remains with us forever.
Some we forget,
Some we remember,
But all of them have a story.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Breathe deeply.
Feel the expansion of your lungs,
The lightness of your heart,
And a deepening with each exhale.
When thoughts float in,
Just let them go.
Envision a calm,
Tranquil space.
For you,
This place could be in your home or a forest,
A park.
Perhaps you see an old bench or blanket under a tree.
Go there.
Be there with your breath.
Relax further with each exhale.
Consciously release any tension and just be.
It is a beautiful,
Safe place.
You are a beacon of light,
Open to receive.
Remember the feeling of a loving embrace from someone you haven't seen for a while.
Perhaps this person is someone from your past who has moved away or someone who has transitioned into their next great existence.
Bring them to your mind's eye.
They are here with you,
Right now,
In your comfortable place.
Welcome them to join you.
Feel the gentleness of their touch,
The calmness of their presence.
As they wrap their arms around you,
Feel the love.
This is perfect.
As they stand before you,
Examine the face of your loved one.
Reach up and feel the softness of their cheek against your hand.
Gaze deeply into their eyes.
They love you.
They'll stay a while.
Sit with them.
Be mindful of what you see and hear.
Be aware of what you feel.
Allow the feelings.
Be with them.
Once again,
Look into the eyes of your beloved and remember that you are one.
This is an eternal connection.
Thank your loved one for their presence today.
Embrace them.
Feel their touch.
Continue to breathe deeply.
Are you smiling?
Are your eyes filled with tears?
Watch them as they leave now.
Know that this is simply a window into your consciousness,
And that they reside in you always.
As you begin to return to those that love you here and now,
Express gratitude for all that you have experienced during this meditative time,
Knowing that the connection between you and those you miss is easily reached,
Whenever and wherever you choose to visit.
Be a Beacon.
Namaste.
