Remembering gratitude for our bodies is a beautiful practice honoring the vessel that allows us to experience so much. Growing appreciation for our physical bodies is an important process that can give us feelings of peace and wholeness leading to a natural desire to be better to ourselves. We are all we've got and we can love ourselves just the way we are... beautiful.

Today I will be guiding you through an exploration of the body,

Inspiring gratitude as we go.

Simply sit with your body and check in with it.

Taking time to pause and connect.

Follow your breath and notice the unique rhythm of it.

What are you feeling?

How are you feeling?

What are you feeling in your body?

With a few deep breaths,

Allow your thoughts to clear.

Simply breathe and let them flow through.

Let them flow through.

First,

Connect with your head and think about your brain.

This is where your ideas are born and your memories are stored.

Your brain is the command central for your body.

It's mysterious and beautiful.

For a moment,

Think about what it does for you.

How it works and how you use it and be grateful for it.

Thank you brain.

Now,

Moving to the forehead and the face,

Consider your eyes.

How important they are to you and everything that they take in.

How they help you identify faces,

Absorb information and appreciate beauty.

No pair of eyes is exactly like yours.

Your eyes are completely unique like snowflakes.

Consider the beautiful colors and the intricate dimensions of the eyes.

Take a moment to connect with your ears too.

Admire their perfect and dynamic shape and their ability to listen and hear.

What beauty do you see?

What beauty do you hear?

Thank you eyes.

Thank you ears.

Connecting with your nose and mouth now.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Your nose is a natural filtration system.

It helps you smell and sense.

Be grateful for it and the tiny hairs that help filter the air you breathe.

For thanks for your lips,

For your smile and your strong teeth and your tongue that allows you to enjoy wonderful flavors.

Think about how each of them enriches your life.

Thank you nose.

Thank you mouth.

Thank you.

Moving down your spine,

Feel the strength of these important bones and the spinal cord they protect.

These bones keep your body upright and moving.

Your spinal cord is the information superhighway of your body.

Think about how your spine supports you and how your spinal cord transmits the messages that make it all work.

Thank you bones.

Thank you spinal cord.

Thank you.

Connecting with your arms,

Bring your attention all the way down to your fingertips.

Notice your muscles and delicate bones of your hands.

Holding appreciation in your awareness,

Think about how your arms allow you to connect and share with others.

Thank you arms.

Thank you hands.

Thank you.

Shifting your attention to the chest now.

Notice the gentle rise and fall as you breathe.

Feel the fresh air enter your body and your heart beating in harmony with the rhythm of your breath.

Acknowledge the amazing ways your lungs and heart fill you with life.

Thank you lungs.

Thank you.

Notice your abdomen now,

The core of your body.

As you breathe into it,

Consider each of the organs that make up your core and the intricate and life sustaining things they do.

With gratitude,

Think about how important each one is and what they do to support you.

Thank you core.

Thank you organs.

Thank you bones.

Moving from your core to your legs,

Feel the strong bones here and the muscles that help you move.

As you connect with your feet,

Appreciate every tiny muscle and bone here and think about them carrying you through life.

Thank you legs.

Thank you feet.

Your body protects you.

It nourishes you.

It allows you to experience everything that life has to offer.

Take time to treasure it and appreciate it for its uniqueness and divine beauty.

Feel your whole body glowing with vibrant wholeness.

Sit for a moment and express gratitude for it and all that it does to support your journey.

Right here and right now.

Thank you body.

Take this gratitude with you as you mindfully move through your days and notice everything your body does for you and do wonderful things for it in return.

And so it is.
