Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
So you guys know that I love trying all different types,
All new ways of meditation,
Right?
There's all sorts of types of meditation.
There's,
I mean,
You can consider chanting meditation.
You can sit in the silence and stillness.
You can listen to music.
You know,
You can do all sorts of things as you meditate,
Right?
But here's my question to you all today.
Have you ever smiled through a meditation?
Have you ever done a smiling meditation?
Today we will smile the entire time.
Yep,
Right.
Do you think you can do that?
I mean,
Seriously,
Do you think that it's possible to smile for a good,
And now granted,
We keep ours in the context of this.
We keep our meditations a little bit on the shorter side.
It's only sometimes five minutes,
You know,
And this may be challenging to smile throughout the entire thing,
But here's the point.
You can do this,
Right?
You can do this,
You know,
It may be challenging,
But I believe in you all,
Right?
So here's why I want to,
I want us to do this way today,
Okay?
When you smile with your face,
Others see you,
Right?
And they can feel your happiness,
Okay?
So you as a person,
As a human,
You're giving away the happiness,
Not giving it away,
But you're giving out happiness.
You're exuding happiness,
Right?
I mean,
It's impossible to smile when you're like angry,
Unless you're being sarcastic,
Which,
You know,
That's a whole other conversation,
Right?
So you're giving away,
You're exuding happiness,
Okay?
The next part to this though,
Is to smile with your heart,
Right?
When we smile with our hearts,
You can feel that little bit of,
You know,
Or that feeling of when your heart skips a beat.
Does that make sense?
Smiling with our hearts takes us to a place of joy and satisfaction with life,
Right?
When we are joy-filled,
We know that life is going to be okay,
Right?
And we feel a little bit lighter.
That's the smiling of the heart.
Then lastly,
On our smiling journey,
We smile during the meditation with our souls.
Now,
What does that exactly mean,
Right?
What does that exactly mean?
When we truly feel that,
You know,
God spirit universe,
Whatever you personally call it,
When we feel that within us,
Guiding us,
We know that that God spirit universe has our backs and there's a peace that comes with that.
There's a peace that comes through meditation and the smiling,
Right?
Love it.
We're going to try this today,
Okay?
So let's get ourselves comfortable and whatever that looks like for you,
And I know I say this all the time,
But I really want you all to understand that it is,
It's all okay.
However you choose to sit,
You can lay down,
You can be leaning.
You don't have to sit with your legs crossed or with your feet flat on the floor.
You know what?
The purpose is to,
The purpose is to feel comfortable so that you come back,
Right?
So,
Okay,
So let's get ourselves comfy.
Close your eyes whenever it's right for you.
And let's take a deep,
Deep breath in very gently through our nose and release it.
Feeling that energy going all through our bodies.
So let's place our attention on our root chakra at the base of our spine.
Our root chakra is the basis of all the chakras.
And when we focus on it,
We become aware of our relationship to Mother Earth.
So as we start to smile,
Make yourself smile.
As we smile and focus on this chakra,
We understand that we are nourished by this energy.
And our bodies connect to Mother Earth,
Allowing us to feel that grounding in everything that we do.
So allowing ourselves to keep smiling and we say thank you to Mother Earth.
Next we focus on our heart chakra,
Just over our hearts.
As we continue to smile,
We feel the flow of love and compassion emanating from our hearts into the rest of our bodies.
And then into the room where we are,
Into our house,
Wherever we live.
And then we allow that love to flow through our neighborhood and our city.
Feel as we keep smiling through our hearts.
Next we,
Lastly,
As we continue to smile,
Let's place our attention on our crown chakra just above our heads.
As this chakra opens and allows universal energy,
Love,
And spiritual enlightenment to flow effortlessly into every cell in our bodies,
We feel inspired and elevated and closer to the divine.
This awareness brings us peace,
Allowing our soul to smile.
So as we consider the grounding through our root chakra and our smiling,
The love through our heart chakra,
And the peace that we allow into our lives through our crown chakra,
We truly begin to understand that smiling outward and within is the true connection to spirit.
And our smile becomes less forced as we feel the love and the contentment and the peace.
So we allow ourselves to sit in the stillness as we continue smiling for just another moment or two to feel that connection with spirit.
