Hi,
My name is Lena and I will be guiding you on this meditative journey today.
Before you come into a comfortable position,
You might want to take a stretch,
A movement of your spine,
Anything,
Before then settling into stillness.
And notice that as your body becomes still,
Your mind becomes still,
Breath journeys into your body and breath journeys out.
Notice where you feel the breath,
Is it in your nostrils,
Is it further down your throat?
And maybe you're noticing an expansion of the chest at the inhalation and a softening at the exhalation.
Do you notice any movement or sensation in other areas of your body,
Maybe the belly,
Maybe your pelvic bowl,
Or maybe someplace else,
Just notice.
And as you're noticing your physical sensations,
Imagine that this breath,
This air that you're breathing in and out is not just air,
But energy,
Life force energy that is surrounding you,
That is part of nature,
That is what makes us alive,
What makes you alive.
And as you imagine that you're inhaling energy,
Notice how are you imagining it,
Does it have a texture,
A color,
Does it have a sound,
Is it vibrating as it enters your body,
And what is it like when it exits your body on the exhalation,
What are you choosing to exhale?
Breath is an act of letting the outside world into your space,
Into your system,
And notice you have a choice about what to absorb,
What to keep,
What gifts to accept,
And you also have a choice of what to send out,
What exits your system,
And what are you consciously breathing out into the world?
Notice,
Is there an intention that you're having?
And just keep breathing and notice anything,
Any sensations in your body now that you imagine this to be life force energy.
How does it move within your body?
You know physically you inhale into your lungs,
But energetically your breath travels much further,
Become aware of that.
Inhaling,
Taking it in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine it spreading within your whole system,
Within your whole body,
Filling it all,
And then on the next exhalation permeating your skin into the space around you,
Creating your own private energetic space of life force energy.
Notice from within this space,
How do you look upon life,
Upon your circumstances,
Upon yourself?
When you are in the space of full life force energy,
Surrounded by it,
Carried by it,
Enveloped,
Sustained,
Nurtured,
Loved.
Notice your own heart space,
The area in the center of your chest,
Where your physical heart and lungs are.
What's happening there?
Within this awareness of universal life force energy,
And from that connection with your heart,
Set an intention for this day to carry this awareness that you are in fact nurtured,
And carried,
And sustained,
And enveloped,
And loved with every single breath you take.
This is the energy that lives within you.
And then,
Take both hands and place them on your chest,
Above the physical body of that heart space.
Notice how that feels.
And next,
Inhalation,
Gently,
Slowly,
Open your eyes to the outside world and see how is it to look out from your being through this veil of the space of universal life force energy.
