Begin your day with a warm and simple act of self-compassion. In this short morning meditation, you'll gently greet yourself with the words, “Good morning, (your name). I love you.” This practice is a soulful invitation to meet the day with softness, presence, and kindness. No need to feel anything in particular—just show up. A beautiful ritual to nourish your nervous system and set a loving tone for whatever the day may bring. Put this on repeat for a week and see what begins to blossom within you.

Good morning.

Maybe your eyes are just fluttering open for the first time this morning.

Before you even get up out of bed,

Place one hand or both hands on your heart.

You might soften or close your eyes or keep them open.

And feel this life force energy of the breath breathing you as you take a few breaths in and out.

Feel the support of whatever you're lying on and then softly whisper to yourself,

Good morning and then say your name.

I love you.

So mine would be,

Good morning Lisa,

I love you and allow the words to just move through you with warmth and tenderness.

And if this feels strange at first,

That's okay.

Or if it's hard to love yourself this morning,

That's okay too.

Self-love is a practice and as you practice this,

Your capacity to extend your self-love will grow over time.

So try this again,

Good morning and your name,

I love you.

Feel this connection with yourself and you might even do this as though you are greeting an old friend.

And whatever arises,

Greet it with kindness.

And then take a few deep breaths into your belly,

Into your heart space and exhale that out.

And with a hand or both hands still on your heart,

Let's set an intention and for your day.

And I love to set an intention by asking this question,

How do I want to feel today?

How do I want to feel today?

See what comes up,

Asking this with curiosity and openness,

Letting your intuition guide you,

Letting your body guide you.

Maybe you want to feel calm or joyful,

Focused,

Patient,

Connected.

So once you notice how you want to feel,

Take a moment with that,

Breathe that feeling in.

Maybe it's something that surprised you,

Maybe it's something you're working on,

Maybe it's something that you want to grow.

Then say to yourself,

Today I choose to feel,

And then say whatever it is that you're wanting to feel.

Today I choose to feel patient,

I choose to feel kind,

I choose to feel love.

Take a few breaths with this intention,

Affirming your intention.

And then take a moment now and imagine yourself going through the day,

Embodying kindness towards yourself and your intention for how you want to feel today.

You see yourself in little moments as you go through your day,

How you'll get ready,

The pace you'll go at,

What you'll choose to do this morning,

How you'll choose to interact with dear ones,

With colleagues,

And see a few more moments throughout the day.

Imagine yourself practicing kindness,

Embodying kindness towards yourself,

And coming back again and again to how you want to feel.

And now take a few final breaths here before this practice and stretch your body out,

Stretching the arms above your head and your feet and toes towards the opposite end of the bed.

And know that you are anchoring yourself in the energy of self-love and how you want to feel today,

That there's this sense of agency rising up in you,

And you can open your eyes slowly and carry this sense of connection and purpose and focus into your day.

And you might say to yourself this affirmation for the day,

I greet this day with love in my heart,

And I choose to embody the feelings that uplift and empower me.

I greet this day with love in my heart,

And I choose to embody the feelings that uplift and empower me.

Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
