Hello and welcome.
It's time to take a five minute breather.
Give yourself some time to recharge and listen to this short guided reflection.
Today's invitation is to move towards that which nourishes you.
If you feel weary or burdened,
Maybe your mind is tired and overwhelmed.
If that is you,
Then allow yourself this time and discover how you might nourish yourself.
Find a comfortable place to settle.
You might like to close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly.
Feel your lungs expand fully.
Slowly blow the air from your mouth as though you are whistling silently.
Hear the sigh it makes as it leaves your lips.
Take another breath.
Breathe in through your nose and this time feel that breath not just fill your lungs but feel it continue to fill your whole body.
Feel the air reach the tips of your toes and the top of your head.
As you slowly breathe out,
Allow your body to relax.
Notice your muscles loosen.
Today,
As I walked on the moorland of Dartmoor,
I paused on the hill and looked towards a stream.
Below me,
A herd of Dartmoor ponies approached the brook.
This clear,
Cold water rises on the moors and the ponies were making their way to a deep pool.
I watched as they bent their heads and drank.
These ponies instinctively know the importance of quenching their thirst.
I imagined the satisfaction as they drank.
This simple action reminded me of the importance of nourishment in my life,
The importance to find the time to quench the thirst of my busy mind and to allow my soul to settle.
Is it time in your life to drink deeply from the wellspring of nourishment?
In this moment,
Right now,
Be kind to yourself.
Be assured you don't need to do more or try harder.
If you feel a sense of weariness or exhaustion,
Treat these feelings as your friends.
These feelings are letting you know that it is time to pause and it is time to look within.
It is time to drink deeply from that ever-present stream within you,
That well of awareness and love.
Take another deep breath and ask yourself the following question.
What might I do to nourish myself today?
What might I do to nourish myself today?
It's time to open your eyes and to return to the room.
See the wisdom that you received as a gift.
You might not hear it in words.
You might not be able to articulate the wisdom.
Allow this wisdom to soak in and be guided by what you hear.
