Do you sense an imbalance between masculine and feminine energy in the world? In today’s 5 Minutes in Nature, Liz reflects on the vast, often untapped power within women — and wonders what might unfold if that inner light were fully allowed to shine. What would that look like? Her intuition tells her that this awakening wouldn’t just uplift women, but would bring healing and balance to men — and to the world as a whole.

Hello and welcome to 5 minutes in nature with me Liz Scott.

You can probably hear I'm beside the Mediterranean Sea again.

And I'm on a sort of shingle pebbly beach watching the sea.

It's a grey day today,

The temperature has dropped not so that it's cold but for me so that it's comfortable and the clouds are low,

The mountains,

Some of them are covered in mist and there's been a tiny bit of rain.

I'm just looking ahead,

There's a headland that sticks out which is a very rocky headland and the way that the sun is just catching it makes it look quite white against the backdrop of the grey steely grey of the sea and the grey of the clouds.

It's beautiful,

Stunning.

And today I've been reflecting on the male and female energy and some ideas which probably will run for a couple of days I think.

So bear with me as I reflect and share with you and hopefully get some of your feedback so that I can get a sense of your thoughts as well.

As you know,

As I've been moving through my transition a transition,

I'm an older lady,

An older woman been through the menopause,

I've been on an inner journey been on a pilgrimage,

Really had some time for personal reflection and I'm coming out of a space of personal reflection and moving into what's next in the world and it feels as though there's more for me to share,

More for me to offer more for me to give.

And I'm not entirely sure what the shape of that is yet and I'd love you to hear some of my reflections as I've been reflecting on what that might look like and I'd love to hear from you really.

So my reflection very much is about being present to the power,

Almost the untapped power the unseen power of older women older women in particular,

That's very much where I'm drawn.

When I walk my pilgrimage on the Mary and Michael energy line so these are,

They're not lay lines but they're a bit like lay lines they go across England from Cornwall in the south west to Norfolk in the east of the country,

A diagonal line these two energy currents,

A male and female energy current weave and cross over on their way across England and I've got a playlist on the pilgrimage if you're interested in my daily reflections as I walked it for 49 days.

But what I want to share with you today is that the reflections I've had about that those male and female energy currents,

The Michael and Mary energy currents that weave their way through the countryside I've been left with some deep reflections or something is stirring or growing within me about female energy and about the way that female energy is as potent,

It might be different but as potent as male energy and the energy currents as they weave their way through the country they cross over at certain points and they go through sacred sites churches,

Old abbeys,

They go through stone circles they go through stone rows these energy currents have been marked by past generations they go through places like Glastonbury and Avebury so some very significant spiritual sites and what I'm really seeing,

And I'll share this a bit more tomorrow as well is that there is a propensity sometimes for me to get a little bit lost in the arguments of women being a little bit lost because of the patriarchy,

This sort of sense that over hundreds and hundreds of years thousands of years,

Women have been pushed down and silenced,

And men particularly white men have sort of ruled the roost as it were.

Now I'm not here to really talk about that and the impact of that but what I have seen is that this very warped way of being,

A culture that's been warped in a particular way with the emphasis on men and women has been detrimental to both and what I'm seeing is that there is another way,

And for me this is a way where women really feel and embrace their energy,

And in doing so they raise the way they are in the world,

Their inner spiritual life their inner light that they want to share,

However that might be they raise that,

It lights up,

It flares up like a flame and they are able to shine brightly in the world but as you can probably tell I'm really curious about this male and female energy and how and what it might look like if women in particular were able to really wear,

Take on board,

Be,

Feel their energy in the world and light up the world and feel their power,

That's what I'm curious about today

I think the female energy has always been present but perhaps put down or brushed aside by the patriarchal male energy. Think wise women of old, healers etc where the power women held was misunderstood and feared. These days people are more open to the more intuitive aspects that women can bring into the world and that needs to be encouraged further and nurtured more. It's that balance between the two energies that needs to be evened out and used for their greater good.
