Hello and welcome dear human.
My name is Lee Anderson.
This is an inquisitive and healing meditation experience.
Lifting the lid of spiritual perfectionism.
It's been inspired by Virgo full moon.
Virgo is the sign of the mother.
She represents form and life.
Her energy is protective and sustaining.
She values purity,
Order and service.
She's the Zodiac's Marie Kondo essentially.
But in her pursuit of neatness and purpose,
She can sometimes forget that even a little mess can have its own magic.
Let's pause on that for a moment.
Missing the good in search of the perfect.
Yes,
We're looking at you inner critic.
This lunation is also under the influence of Aries,
The Zodiac's enthusiastic trailblazer,
Who often acts first and reads the instruction manual eventually.
Aries brings courage,
Boldness and that let's do this energy.
Occasionally a bit much but together Virgo and Aries offer a potent mix of precision and passion.
The perfect time for reflection,
Realignment and perhaps letting go of that colour-coded plan you stopped updating in 2023.
You may feel both driven and uncertain,
Motivated yet emotionally full and not just because of the snacks.
Tonight's meditation invites you to turn inward,
To meet your inner critic with kindness and maybe even offer it a cup of tea and let go of the myth of spiritual perfectionism.
So let's begin.
Settle into a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down or whichever posture that won't have your foot fall asleep in ten minutes.
If you're seated,
Let your spine rise gently like a proud tree and if lying down,
Let your body feel open and balanced like a human starfish.
Let your hands rest naturally,
Palms up,
Open to receiving.
If you feel ready,
Soften your gaze or close your eyes completely.
It's not a staring contest.
Let your awareness begin to drift inward and allow the outer world to fade like a forgotten browser tab.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth like a sigh of relief.
Inhale clarity and exhale nonsense.
With each breath,
Let tension melt like a forgotten candle.
Let your thoughts wander out the door politely like guests who have overstayed their welcome.
And now settle in to the natural rhythm of your breath.
Graceful,
Sacred and not trying too hard.
And now let's gently invoke a feeling of gratitude.
Gratitude for the breath.
Gratitude for this moment and gratitude that despite everything you've shown up here in stretchy pants or otherwise.
Feel the warmth of that gratitude not just as an idea but as a sensation.
So it might feel like a glow in the chest,
A quiet smile from within or a subtle reminder that you're doing okay,
Truly.
Return your awareness to the breath.
Let it anchor you like a wise old friend who gives great hugs and zero judgment.
Virgo's energy is always moving,
Always improving,
Always recognizing the spiritual sock drawer.
If your mind drifts,
That's okay.
Gently bring it back.
No guilt,
No side-eye.
With every exhale,
Release the old stories,
The outdated expectations and any lingering belief that enlightenment requires scented candles and a seven-step morning routine.
Instead we channel Virgo's focus and Aerie's daring not to fix ourselves but to rediscover what was never broken in the first place.
Breathe out mental clutter.
Breathe in wisdom.
Breathe out that time you said something awkward in 2012.
Visualize yourself standing beside a calm moonlit lake.
You gaze at your reflection,
Beautifully imperfect.
Now gently release the should-haves,
The could-haves and the what-ifs.
Let them ripple away.
The moon isn't judging,
She's just vibing.
You feel lighter,
Freer,
A little more you.
And breathe in the qualities you need for this next chapter.
Qualities like courage,
So you can say no without needing any long-winded apology.
Qualities like patience for yourself.
Qualities like discipline,
The kind that's lovingly firm and spontaneity because joy loves a surprise.
You can see yourself radiant,
Rooted,
Magnetic.
You're attracting what aligns and letting go of what doesn't with grace and possibly jazz hands.
Feel joy,
Feel contentment and feel peace.
And remember,
The hardest path is the one you think you walk alone.
Spoiler alert,
You haven't been alone,
Not once.
And now with a soft smile on your lips,
Begin to deepen your breath.
Bring your awareness to your heart and feel it beating,
Steady,
Strong,
Doing its thing without even asking for a thank you.
Honour yourself for showing up,
For softening and for choosing this moment.
And now let these words settle in.
Fear is just an obstacle auditioning for attention.
You don't have to give it the part.
You're becoming who you are always meant to be,
Even if the road ahead looks a little like scribble.
I thank you for your presence,
Your humour,
Your humanity.
And thank you for being unapologetically,
Delightfully you.
