Lifting the lid of spiritual perfectionism.
This is a guided meditation which is inspired by Virgo full moon.
Welcome to this inquisitive and healing meditation experience.
Tonight we welcome the full moon in Virgo and her vibrant nurturing energies that are flowing towards us from all across the galaxy.
Virgo is the sign of the mother.
She represents form and life.
Her energy is protective and sustaining.
She values purity,
Order and service.
Yet in her quest for perfection,
She can sometimes lose sight of the good while striving for the ideal.
So let us just pause on that.
Missing the good in search of the perfect.
This lunation is also influenced by Aries,
The fiery pioneer of the Zodiac.
Aries inspires courage,
Boldness and the urge to leap forward into new beginnings.
But sometimes its energy can feel a little too impulsive or impatient.
Together these forces create a powerful moment for transformation,
A chance to reflect,
Release and realign.
So you may feel both driven and uncertain,
Motivated yet emotionally full.
So this meditation invites you to turn inward,
To reflect on outdated patterns,
To meet your inner critic with compassion and to embrace a new beginning rooted in trust,
Not perfection.
So let's begin.
Settle yourself into a comfortable seated or lying position.
If you're seated,
Ensure your spine is gently upright.
You may sit cross-legged or kneeling with your hips back on your heels,
Maybe on a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
And if you're lying down,
Allow your body to feel symmetrical and open.
You can let your hands rest on your knees or by your sides and the palms are facing upwards to receive energy.
If you feel ready,
Soften your gaze or gently close your eyes.
Let your awareness begin to drift inward as external distractions fade into the background.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Again in through the nose and gently out.
Let the breath be smooth and steady,
Swirling around your body with ease.
With each inhale,
Draw in clarity.
And with each exhale,
Release what no longer serves you,
Extending the out-breath,
Letting it linger.
Each long exhale helps to cleanse,
Release and soften your body.
Now allow your breath to settle into its natural rhythm.
Notice how graceful it is,
How sacred.
Let the breath fill your chest and your belly all the way to the base of your spine.
As you exhale,
Imagine impurities dissolving,
Vanishing into nothing.
Let go of tension,
Let go of lingering thoughts,
Let go of emotion,
Let it all fall away.
And now let's gently invoke a feeling of gratitude.
Gratitude for the breath,
Gratitude for this moment,
Gratitude for your resilience and humility and for the courage it took to arrive here,
Exactly as you are.
Feel this gratitude as a sensation,
Not just an idea.
Let it move through your body.
Gratitude is the key to opening new beginnings.
Every situation,
Every person in your life has taught you something.
Even the challenges have shaped the person you are becoming.
Return your focus to the breath.
It's a gentle guide in this inner journey.
If any sensations become too uncomfortable at any point,
Simply return to the rhythm of your breath and let it anchor you.
The energies of Virgo can be dynamic,
Always in motion,
Seldom still.
If your mind begins to wander,
It's okay.
Gently guide your attention back to your breath and the quiet simplicity of the present moment.
With each exhale,
Release old emotions,
Limiting beliefs or heavy memories.
Let go of what is no longer needed.
And we will now begin to channel Virgo's focus and Aries courage,
Not to fix ourselves,
But to rediscover what has always been whole within us.
Breathe in the moon's energy.
Visualise a soft white light entering your body as you inhale.
It's filling you with purity and peace.
As you exhale,
See a grey light leaving your body,
Taking with it any heaviness or stagnation.
The moon is beaming her intuitive light upon you.
Her energies are at their peak.
You are open,
Receptive and ready.
With every breath,
You attune more deeply to the unconscious forces the moon illuminates.
Breathing in her intuition.
Breathe out uncertainty.
Breathe in her courage.
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in her wisdom.
Breathe out hesitation.
Let's visualise ourselves standing by a quiet moonlit lake.
You can see your reflection in the still water.
Let go of the old hurts.
The sadness,
The regrets.
Let them pour gently from your body into the water.
Let go of the could-haves,
The should-haves and the if-onlys.
Release them all.
Notice you're feeling a new lightness,
A sense of relief.
You can stand strong and radiant in the presence of your truth.
You can be grateful for the lessons,
Grateful for your growth.
Now begin to breathe in all the qualities you need for the next chapter of your life.
Breathing in courage to be true to yourself.
Breathing in patience to endure.
Breathing in discipline to follow through.
Breathing in spontaneity to flow with joy.
Visualise yourself strong.
See yourself confident.
You're radiating with positive,
Progressive energy.
You're attracting new ideas,
New people,
New opportunities.
Feel joy.
Feel contentment.
Feel peace.
All while remembering the hardest path is the one you think you walk alone.
But you have not been alone.
You are supported,
Always.
Bring a soft smile to your lips.
And begin to deepen your breath.
Feel the air entering your nose,
Flowing down into your belly.
And then back up again.
Nose to belly.
And belly to nose.
Bring your awareness to your heart centre.
Feel the beat of your heart.
The strength.
And honour yourself for your courage to let go.
For your willingness to grow.
And for choosing to begin again.
And let these words resonate in your being.
Fear is nothing more than an obstacle that stands in the way of progress.
By overcoming fear,
We grow stronger,
Wiser and truer to ourselves.
We become who we were always meant to be.
