Go ahead and get comfortable.
Feel free to sit up or lie down for this meditation,
Whatever is calling to you.
And when you arrive,
Go ahead and gently close down the eyes.
Take a slow breath in and a long breath out.
And let your body land.
Feel how the ground supports your body beneath you.
And bring awareness into your body,
Your face,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your head,
Your stomach,
Your hips,
And your legs.
Notice where you might be holding tension,
Where your body feels tight or heavy.
Not trying to change anything,
But just noticing.
Now imagine or simply feel that you're standing on a quiet beach with your bare feet in the sand.
You can hear the ocean.
Gentle waves moving in and out.
And the light of the full moon is reflecting across the water.
The air is calm.
The light is soft.
And the sun is beginning to set.
And take a slow breath in and as you exhale,
You look down the beach and in the distance,
You notice something.

A simple wooden seesaw resting gently in the sand.
And you begin to walk slowly towards it,
Feeling the cool sand beneath your feet.
And with each step,
You arrive closer until you reach it.
And without rushing,
You sit down on one side of the seesaw.
Take a breath here and begin to notice how the seesaw responds to your energy.
On this seesaw,
When your energy feels heavy,
Overworked,
Or like you're carrying too much,
The side that you're sitting on gently drops toward the earth.
And when your energy feels supported or open and connected,
The side you're sitting on begins to lift.
So just notice where you are right now.
As you are sitting down,
Where does the seesaw go?
And now bring your awareness to effort and ease.
As you think about effort,
Ask yourself,
Have I been overdoing,
Pushing,
Carrying too much on my own?
Or have I been avoiding effort,
Needing more activation in my life?
Now notice the seesaw.
Does your energy drop downward,
Heavy with responsibility,
Pressure,
Or over-efforting?
Or does it stay lifted,
Like there's more space for more effort to come in?
And now shift to ease,
Softness,
Allowing,
Flow.
And ask yourself,
Have I been allowing support,
Softness,
Or flow?
Or am I holding tension,
Feeling like I have to do everything myself?
And now notice the seesaw.
Does your energy begin to lift,
Feeling light and supported and held?
Or does it stay lowered,
Like you're still carrying too much?
Where is the seesaw taking you?
And bring your awareness now to giving and receiving.
As you think about giving,
Ask yourself,
Have I been over-giving,
Pouring from an empty place,
Or holding back,
Not offering what I have?
Notice the seesaw.
Does your energy drop,
Heavy,
Drained,
Over-extended?
Or does it stay lifted,
With energy still available?
Now shift to receiving.
Ask yourself,
Have I been open to receiving support,
Love,
Care?
Or blocking it,
Feeling like I have to do it alone?
Notice.
Does your energy begin to lift,
As you allow yourself to be supported?
Or does it remain lowered,
Still holding everything on your own?
As you think about doing,
Ask yourself,
Have I been constantly moving,
Striving,
Producing?
Or feeling stuck,
Unsure how to take action?
Notice the seesaw.
Does your energy drop,
Heavy with constant doing?
Or does it stay lifted,
With more space for action?
Now shift into being,
Stillness,
Presence,
Simply existing.
Ask yourself,
Have I been allowing myself to rest,
To be present,
Just exist?
Or feeling disconnected from stillness?
Where does the seesaw take you?
Does your energy begin to lift,
Supported in simply being?
Or remain lowered,
Still carrying tension?
Now gently imagine the seesaw beginning to move,
Up and down,
Slowly and naturally.
And with each breath,
Any heaviness begins to soften.
And you no longer have energy that stays stuck at the bottom of the seesaw.
It actually begins to rise.
Not all the way up.
Not all the way down.
But finding a natural midpoint.
Until the seesaw comes to rest.
Perfectly balanced in the center.
Not because everything is equal,
But because you are no longer carrying everything alone.
There is effort.
And there is support.
There is giving.
And there is receiving.
There is doing.
And there is being.
And you are held in the middle of it.
Supported,
Connected,
And in balance.
Take a big,
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
And begin to bring your awareness to your root chakra.
At the base of your spine.
Imagine a deep red light glowing there.
This light grounds you,
Supports you,
And reminds you that you are safe to be here.
So take a breath in to this space.
And as you exhale,
Feel that support settle beneath you.
Like the earth holding you.
And on your next inhale,
Bring your awareness to your sacral chakra.
Just below your navel.
A warm orange light begins to glow.
And this light softens you.
Opens you up to flow,
And creativity,
And feeling.
And as you exhale,
Allow your body to release.
To move with ease.
Inhale,
Bring your awareness to your solar plexus.
Right above your navel.
A soft yellow light begins to shine here.
This is your power.
Your confidence.
And your sense of self.
And as you exhale,
Release pressure.
Knowing you don't have to force your way forward.
Inhale and bring your awareness to your heart chakra.
At the center of your chest.
And a gentle green light expands outward.
This light connects you to love,
And to others.
And to balance.
And as you exhale,
Soften your chest.
Allow yourself to be both open and supported.
Inhale and bring your awareness to your throat chakra.
A calm blue light begins to glow here.
And this is your voice.
Your truth,
Your expression.
And as you exhale,
Release anything that you've been holding back.
Inhale and bring your awareness to your third eye.
Right between your eyebrows.
And a deep indigo light appears here.
This is your intuition.
Your inner knowing.
Exhale and let your mind soften.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
Inhale,
Bring your awareness to your crown chakra.
At the top of your head.
A soft violet light opens upward.
And this light connects you to something greater.
To cosmic support that's beyond yourself.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself gently lifted.
Held and supported.
At ease.
And now imagine all of these colors.
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue.
Indigo and violet.
Gently flowing together.
Moving through your body.
Balancing you and centering you.
Lifting you while still grounding you.
And your breath and your energy both remain steady and balanced.
Supported.
And as you sit here,
The sun continues to set.
Casting light across the water.
And soft reflections moving with each wave.
And you can begin to hear the ocean even more clearly.
Waves moving in and out.
And with each wave coming in,
You receive calm and ease and balance.
And with each wave going out,
You release.
Over-efforting.
Over-thinking.
Holding on to too much.
Let it be carried away.
With each breath,
You feel lighter.
More at ease.
And repeat these affirmations.
I am allowed to be in balance.
I don't have to carry everything.
I give and receive with ease.
I trust myself.
Take a few moments here.
Resting and breathing.
Listening to the waves.
And slowly begin to bring awareness back to your body.
The feeling of the ground beneath you.
The movements of your breath.
Gently moving your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready,
