By far, affirmations are my favorite technique to use the Law of Attraction, and also to block negative thoughts. Additionality, I will share to what type of candy I compare them to. Yes, you read that right, it's a helpful analogy, so join me to see what I'm talking about. The first part has the lecture, and the second a guided meditation.

Hello,

Today I'm going to talk about how to create and use the perfect affirmation.

And as you may know,

The law of attraction is engaged or activated by using techniques.

Well,

That's what many say,

But to be more accurate,

We cannot flip it on or off.

The law of attraction is always working.

And as I shared in my previous live session that you can now listen by searching on my profile in which vibration is your wish at and how to get it,

We are broadcasting our vibrational signal all the time.

So using techniques is just a control mechanism to ensure we are focusing on the type of vibration that we want to send.

In other words,

Making sure we are attracting the fulfillment of our wishes and not their absence.

Now,

There are literally countless techniques,

But most,

If not all,

Fall under general categories like visualization,

Assumption,

Scripting,

Affirmations,

Vision boards,

Among others.

And I chose to talk about affirmations today because those are my favorite.

So in case you're interested in knowing about others in a future live session,

Just let me know which one.

So what is an affirmation?

I define them as a self dialogue or a prayer to God or the universe.

And I will explain those two approaches in full detail.

We all have an internal chat going on most of the time.

And sometimes it's just a monologue that's narrating what we do or how we perceive anything we are living or thinking about.

It might go from,

Oh,

I bet she says yes while watching the soap opera,

To that guy must be sleepy because he's not driving on the same lane,

Or yuck,

Another bad hair day for me.

And what about,

I'd rather not try it because I always fail.

We are so used to that chat that most of the time it might fly under the radar,

But it has great clues and information about the way we perceive any subject matter.

And as you know,

The law of attraction reacts to your thoughts and emotions and whatever you're sending comes back.

So,

An affirmation is a tool you can use to change the tune of that chitchat,

To block negative perceptions or ideas,

Or to remind yourself of what you want to manifest,

That wish you want so very much.

And what are the elements of an affirmation then?

Well,

It's just like you learned in school.

You have the subject and the predicate.

In other words,

You and what your wish is all about.

And before I start telling you how to create the perfect affirmation,

I need to debunk some myths about them.

And although these are widespread,

I have confirmed through my own personal experience what I'm about to share.

So,

Number one,

You are supposed to create an affirmation in present tense.

Well,

That is false.

I have used affirmations in future tense and they have worked.

For example,

I will get the job I want.

In fact,

It is harder for me to affirm in present tense something that is not yet part of my life because my brain kicks back and my vibration lowers as a result.

So,

I just reframe from creating affirmations in present tense unless I'm 100% sure feeling like it.

With that said,

There is nothing wrong with using affirmations in present tense and they do work.

Okay?

Now,

Number two,

An affirmation can't have the word want because you're asking from a perspective of lack.

Thus,

You continue attracting the absence of your wish.

Well,

That is also false.

If you feel better by stating your wish in future tense,

Which will most likely require the word want,

That's your proof that you're doing the best you can.

Because if you lower your vibration by using a present tense affirmation,

What you send to the law of attraction will be wasted energy.

And to add insult to injury,

It will be low vibration energy.

Remember that the point or the gist of all of this is to feel good and not to struggle with techniques.

So,

When someone says I want to do,

Have,

Or accomplish X,

Y,

Or Z,

And as a result of that feels great afterwards,

The energy is good and useful so it's okay.

You can use the word want.

Third,

Do not use the word no in your affirmations,

Which technically makes them a negation,

But I digress.

And that is because the universe or your subconscious mind don't understand the word no and in return you will manifest what you don't want.

Haven't you seen how kids do the opposite of what they're told to do?

Well,

It's pretty much the same for our minds and the universe.

So,

Tell me friends,

What do you think?

Drumroll.

False.

If you say no,

No,

Ani-o,

Niet,

Je,

Nijn,

Bussi,

By the way all those mean no,

Will the universe understand any of those words?

Of course,

But what if you create a new language?

How is the universe going to know what yes and no are?

So,

In Japanese if you say dame,

It means no good and sometimes just plain no.

But guess what?

In Spanish,

Dame means give me.

So,

Which one is it?

And what about slang?

How does the universe keep up with our creativity?

I'm sure people that speak Spanglish never get what they ask for,

Right?

Well,

That is rhetorical.

Of course they do,

But why?

Why,

Why,

Why?

Well,

The universe reads your intentions,

Not your words.

Just like when a friend says no but smiles,

You know it's a yes,

Hopefully.

And to prove it,

At least for me,

I have said many times I don't want to go to that meeting or to see that person and voila,

It gets cancelled.

So,

Myth debunked.

Okay,

Off the top of my head,

Those are the myths you should ignore.

So,

Let's get to the good stuff.

How to create the perfect affirmation.

As I said before,

The purpose of the affirmation is to target your focus and emotions,

Thus tuning your vibration to match your wish.

This process is very simple.

Just look for the words that make you feel the best about you want to achieve or manifest.

Some examples can start with I am,

I have,

I got,

I know.

I am a PhD graduate.

I have a house in LA.

I got a raise.

And like Neo said in the Matrix,

I know Kung Fu.

So,

If stating this in present tense feels off,

Remember,

You can change the time.

I will get my PhD.

I will have a house in LA.

I will get a raise.

And so on.

Now,

If you use future tense,

I recommend you to refrain from using due dates.

I'm not saying it will not work,

But you will probably add resistance,

Attachment,

Or unnecessary pressure.

For example,

I will buy my house by spring 2022.

Well,

Guess what?

The clock is ticking,

And if you see no movement,

Your vibration will go down.

You will question if this works,

Etc.

So,

Don't bother.

I also suggest being as specific as possible,

But if your affirmation is too specific,

And that level of detail makes you feel doubtful or experience a low emotion,

Then make it more general.

For example,

Instead of saying,

I'm in a relationship with that person,

Or that person is my spouse,

Why not?

I have the most beautiful and loving partner.

By removing the who or what,

You may be able to reduce the negative backslash.

Your brain might create it or not,

Depending on how specific you are,

So you can overcome your current disbelief.

And although I said you can use the word no,

Or any negative,

Try what feels better for you.

Compare something like,

I don't want to go to the office,

Versus,

I want to have the day off.

Which one feels better for you?

For me,

Affirmations are a fast,

Powerful tool that can be used to reprogram our brains,

To change our paradigms,

And stopping negative thoughts.

And trust me,

As soon as you feel or catch a negative thought,

Use an affirmation to prevent it from gaining momentum,

Like that catchy song that sticks in your head the whole day.

And speaking about sticky stuff,

There is a candy that I associate with affirmations.

Can you guess which one?

And if you were on Tuesday,

You already know the answer,

So don't spoil it for the rest.

I associate affirmations with bubble gum.

Now,

You may say,

What?

Yeah,

In this sense,

I chew or repeat the affirmation as long as it has a tasty flavor.

Once it feels neutral or out of sweetness,

I stop.

And it's because I'm not feeling anything,

Just repeating like a broken record or a parrot.

So there is no point if there's no emotion or focus.

Now,

I want to go back to stopping a negative thought with an affirmation.

I do have a great example that allowed me to manifest a big change in my life,

So I want to share that with you.

I decided to relocate to Lima,

Peru.

I was living in Mexico in 2017,

But I wanted this time to have a job offer.

So anytime I remember the topic,

Especially when I was feeling doubtful,

I said something like this,

I don't care how,

I don't care when,

And I don't care what company I'll be working for,

But I will relocate to Peru.

And I kid you not,

In less than 30 days,

I received an email asking me if I was interested in a job.

There are so much more things I could say about this great tool,

So maybe we can have another session to dive deeper into this subject.

Now,

At the beginning,

I said we can use an affirmation as a prayer.

In my opinion,

That's the most important way and powerful way that I have found to shift my vibration,

Especially for those times when low emotions take over.

There will be some times when you're feeling really,

Really down,

Really doubtful,

When an affirmation is not going to cut it,

When your circumstances are really,

Really putting you in a tight spot.

You don't have the strength,

You don't have,

Well,

You get it.

I don't want to take you down memory lane to maybe one of those times in your life.

But what I do when I feel like that,

When I think something like,

Oh,

But the law of attraction says that if I'm thinking negative thoughts,

I'm going to attract them,

Which,

By the way,

Doesn't happen all the time.

So what can you do to use an affirmation as a prayer and feel better?

Well,

I say something like this.

I know that right now I'm not allowing my dream to get close to me.

I know that I'm not being a cooperative component to the process of the law of attraction.

I know that it may take more time for me to be happier or to be happy or to feel relief or get my health or whatever it is that you want,

My lover,

My degree,

My house,

It doesn't matter.

But I know that you are more powerful than all my doubts,

All my resistance,

And all the people on this planet and all the universe because I know you created it.

So these things,

These doubts,

These feelings that are bothering me are insignificant when I compare them to your power and to the love that you have for me.

So I will acknowledge that if my wish is not here yet,

There is a reason.

And I will also reaffirm that you have me covered and you will give me what I want when I'm ready.

And if you wanted to,

You will just instantly manifest my wish and someday you will.

So I know you love me and I know there's a reason why I'm not there yet,

But I will be there because you are walking towards that goal with me.

Now,

That was a very long affirmation.

Of course you're not supposed to learn it by heart.

Just speak from your heart and the essence is saying,

Yes,

I know there are challenges,

I know I'm not feeling great,

But I know that you are more powerful than all the obstacles that I could put in front of my own dream and all the negative stuff that can happen,

That can be done by other people because you are more powerful than all of us combined and you love me more than I will ever be able to love myself.

So I know I will have my wish.

Something like that,

Right?

That is my,

Like I was saying on Tuesday,

My Hail Mary.

That is my ultimate affirmation to raise my vibration.

And even if I'm not going to feel euphoric after saying it,

I will find peace.

And if I feel peaceful,

That's all I need to do.

Okay?

Please repeat that.

The whole thing?

Okay.

Let me,

Let me give it my best shot.

And I hope I pronounced your name correctly.

If I remember,

You are in India,

Right?

And if not,

Well,

My apologies.

But I think I have seen you before.

Okay,

You're in India.

Perfect.

And when you don't have a picture,

It's more difficult for me to remember you,

Right?

In general,

But well,

You don't have to put your picture.

That's what I'm saying.

It's been really hard here.

Okay,

Well,

Now that you're saying that,

Let me tune that affirmation.

Because I think you're talking about,

Well,

Let's be honest,

The pandemic,

Right?

I guess you are talking about that.

So this is what I would say,

Dear friend.

Dear Lord,

Or,

Or dad or mom,

However you feel them,

Right?

I know that you love me.

And I know I'm going to be on this planet until the day you say you want me at your side.

So I don't have to fear anything.

Because no matter what happens,

If you want me here,

I will be here.

And it doesn't matter.

Now,

Please,

I want you to take care of all my brothers and sisters that are suffering.

Because I know you love them too.

And I wish them the best I wish them health.

But if you have decided that it's their time to join you,

And be happy with you for the eternity,

Then thy will be made.

Yes,

Or thou I think it's thou,

Well,

Let your will be done.

But I want to tell you that I really want to enjoy more time on this planet.

And I want to pull through this whole situation.

You know,

I have a lot of dreams.

I want to be happy here with more people with the people that I love,

And that you love more than I do.

So let me feel that I am protected.

Let me remember that I'm protected.

Let me remember that you love me,

And help me to love you more.

Because you are the most important being in my life.

And I appreciate the gift of life that you have given me.

And I want to experience it more.

Will that help my friend?

Okay.

Well,

I'm glad I'm glad it did.

And just remember that you are never alone.

And God does love you.

And nothing is going to happen to you if it's not approved by God.

So this life experience is what you were supposed to live.

And we are all in this together.

You're not alone.

We have all suffered and we have all had to endure.

But also,

Look about the positive things we have done.

We have taken several good steps towards a resolution.

People are getting vaccinated.

The world is changing.

And this pandemic is going to help us to be ready for possible future events.

So this is a learning experience for everyone.

And don't be afraid.

Don't be afraid.

Okay?

Try to think about the good things in your life.

And distract yourself as much as you can with positive events.

Can with positive information or positive people.

Talk to the people that you love.

And I want to tell you that one of my brothers has COVID.

And well,

He's not happy about it,

But he's pulling through.

And some of my cousins have had it too.

So we are all we all know someone that has it,

Or had it.

And we will continue our life on this planet.

We will evolve.

We will learn.

We will adapt.

And we will conquer it.

That's for sure.

We are conquering it.

So don't worry.

Mapito, thank you for this audio, affirmations, are, for me, the best technique to make a wish or a desire and then to manifest. It helps a lot in order to maintain an organized brain, and that permits to ask for very specific wishes, and to make also the "follow up" if it is necessary. To make the "follow up" does not mean to try to do G-d's work, is just to know where things are. I am a visualizations person, for the good, for the bad, for everything, that does not permit me to concentrate adequately, (Ican "see" lots of things at the same time on depending the things I have to do or to think of) so the best thing is to maintain my wishes asked in affirmations. Thank you very much for teaching this to us. Is an invaluable gift to me.
