This simple humming exercise will gently and yet efficiently activate your vagus nerve
For your own well-being.
You can do this exercise while sitting or laying down.
Listen to my words and imagine them to be your own words.
Let the sound just flow through your consciousness like a clear mountain dew.
Now I let my eyelids gently close.
I feel a relaxing sensation slowly spread from the corners of my eyes to my cheeks and
Head.
My throat,
Elbows,
My chest and stomach soften and let go.
A sweet wave of relaxation gently rolls through my arms and hands,
Legs and feet.
Now I take a really deep fresh breath of vibrant air that fills my lungs.
On the exhale I let the air flow from my nostrils and at the same time I hum.
I keep on humming with every exhale.
I keep my upper and lower teeth just a little bit apart.
My mouth,
Lips and tongue are soft.
I find my own melodies while humming.
Every exhale that I hum is more pleasant than the one before.
Now I slowly let go of the humming.
I just witness the natural rhythm of my breath.
I feel a vibrant feeling spreading all over my body.
I enjoy the sensation of sound still vibrating in every cell of my body.
My stomach gently moves up and down with each breath.
I let go completely of the need to control and I just trust that everything is well right
Now.
I feel the weight of my body.
My mind feels lighter and lighter.
I am fully safe here and now.
