Hello beautiful souls.
I'm Marie Blythe and welcome to the Mystics Manual podcast where we explore the heart-centered how-to of energy healing,
Metaphysics,
Intuition,
And all things mystical and magical.
Hello Mystics.
Have you been anxious lately?
Maybe you have,
Maybe you haven't,
Maybe you've experienced anxiety at different points in your life.
Today I wanted to talk about anxiety and I from an energetic perspective because being an empath myself and being a sensitive and feeling other people's energy in my body for a large majority of my life,
I've had my fair share of anxiety.
And what's also interesting is that I've spent a lot of time learning to understand the frequencies that I feel in my body in a very nuanced way.
And so I think it's really important to start to look at our own personal understanding of what we're feeling in new ways from that lens of frequency and energy because it can help us address what we're feeling and experiencing from a place of conscious understanding.
And we can't really do that if we don't have that conscious understanding.
So today we're going to talk about anxiety and specifically the three different types of anxiety that you might experience at any given time.
And why I think this is important is because we have this one word that our broad society assigns to something that is experienced in many different ways for many different reasons and can actually be divided up into three different categories of what we term as anxiety.
So if you have this understanding for yourself of the energetics behind anxiety,
And you can understand this from the lens of your own experience,
Then that means that you have an upper hand in dealing with it whenever you are experiencing anxiety,
Especially if you're an empath or a sensitive.
So let's start this off by talking about the three different types of anxiety and what creates those.
And before I even get into that,
I just want to say I'm not a doctor,
Not a therapist.
Please don't take this as medical advice because it's not.
And always consult a licensed professional if you struggle with any kind of emotional or mental health challenges.
Okay,
So with that out of the way,
The first type of anxiety we're going to talk about is energetic anxiety.
And this is the one that probably is least understood by the vast majority of people.
Emotion is energy in motion.
And when we feel specific emotions in our body,
What we're feeling is the movement of a specific frequency through our body,
Through our body,
Through our energy field,
Through our nervous system.
Each frequency of moving energy of the emotional bandwidth feels a different way in our body.
And these energies of emotion that are moving through our energy body could either be created by us in the moment when we're experiencing something.
They could be something that we have absorbed,
That we're taking in from outside of us,
From other people,
Or from our environment.
Or it could be energy that's leaving our energy field that has been stored in our energy body.
So repressed emotional energy,
Repressed frequencies that we then release and then feel those energies as they leave.
So essentially,
These different frequencies of energy,
When they move through our body and our energy field,
We feel them.
Now,
When we're feeling a specific emotion,
So let's just say anger.
One of the things that is important to know here is that anger isn't just a flat term.
There are many different types of anger,
And there are many different reasons we can feel anger.
And one of the things that I first realized about myself when I started developing my empathic gifts myself in a more conscious way was that I was able to tap into the frequencies of others' emotions in a more nuanced way than most people could that were not sensitive or empathic.
Meaning that someone might say,
Oh,
I'm feeling angry,
But I could specifically feel into this feels like anger,
But it feels like the type of anger that happens when someone isn't hearing what you're saying or when someone is not internalizing what you're trying to express about yourself.
And that's a specific frequency of anger.
So this is something that I've been able to do my whole life,
And it served me really well as an energy healing practitioner and in life in general in many ways.
But it's not something that I realized that other people weren't experiencing until much later in life.
So this is just to set you up here to understand that emotions are energy in motion that exist within a specific bandwidth of energy,
And there are very fine frequencies of energy within that bandwidth that represent very specific nuanced emotions.
Now anxiety,
What is this?
How does this play into the big picture?
Well,
If you think about how specific a frequency has to be to be able to say identify a specific type of anger or a specific type of grief that's felt,
When we have a conglomeration of different energies moving through our energy body that are so jumbled up and so varied that it's very difficult to pinpoint what that energy is or what that frequency is,
That's when we feel anxiety.
So anxiety is when we're experiencing energy in motion within the emotional bandwidth that is a broad enough range or collection of frequencies that it becomes difficult for us to distinguish what the emotion is,
And then we just feel it as a jumble of energy or a big conglomerate of energy.
And that's what this specific type of anxiety,
This energetic anxiety or emotional anxiety,
Feels like in our body.
So this type of anxiety most frequently happens when a large amount of energy is coming into our energy body from outside of us or when a large amount of emotional energy is leaving our energy body that has been stored in there.
And again,
This energy could be from other people and other external places,
Environments,
Things like that,
Or it could be our own repressed emotional energy from over a long period of time that's all releasing at the same time.
So how do we know if it's this type of anxiety that we're experiencing?
Well,
First of all,
We usually feel it in a specific energy center of our body.
So pay attention to where in your body you're feeling that energy,
And it's not always the same place.
Sometimes you might feel it in your heart area,
Sometimes it might be your throat area,
Maybe your solar plexus,
Maybe your sacral,
Sometimes even your root and your legs feel really tingly and weird and almost like the restless leg syndrome type thing where you just can't get comfortable in your hips and legs.
And this can be a lot of repressed energy in those lower energy centers that's trying to move its way out,
And it feels like this very vibratory sensation that's a little bit uncomfortable moving through our energy body.
It's that energy in motion.
But we most frequently experience this in the middle chakras,
The middle energy centers,
As anxiety.
So mostly from the sacral up to the heart,
Sometimes in the throat will even feel like I feel like I have anxiety in my throat.
And when we get into the head,
A lot of times this shows up in a different way.
So our body processes that energy moving in or out from our sixth chakra or our third eye as headache,
Migraine,
That kind of thing,
Or dizziness sometimes,
Lightheadedness.
And so there's different ways that the different parts of our body process energy leaving.
And the reason that we feel it in our chakras is because those are kind of the biggest portals of energy coming and going through our field.
They act as an engine moving energy in and out of our energy body.
And so it's kind of the path of least resistance.
It's a way for energy to come in or to go out that's kind of a bigger space or a bigger portal for that energy to leave.
And that's why we often feel it in one or two specific energy centers.
So next time you feel anxiety come on,
Notice where you're feeling it in your body.
And is it associated with a specific chakra or energy center?
And that's a clue that it might be this emotional anxiety or energetic anxiety.
The other piece that's interesting here is that if you often experience this when you're around other people or you're in a social or public space and you know yourself to be an absorber of energy,
Often that anxiety is coming from a lot of energy coming in at one time from your environment because you're around more people and in a space that holds more energy and you're absorbing more of that.
And it's important if you notice this about yourself to start to do some of that inner work,
Some shadow work on yourself to start working on the reasons why you're absorbing energy because this is a foundational aspect of empath healing is working with our own unconscious often child parts and our limiting beliefs and programming that tell us that we need to absorb energy in order to be liked,
In order to stay safe,
In order to be accepted and whatever the other things are that cause us to do that.
Because once we work through those things and heal those different patterns that we have that we're often not consciously aware of that we're doing,
It's all running in the background,
Then we can stop absorbing that energy and then experiencing that form of anxiety.
Now the flip side of this is if we've done a healing for ourselves and especially if it's a really big profound healing or we're releasing a lot of energy after having some energy work done,
We can experience that anxiety as a lot of that energy is leaving our energy field as well.
And that would be old repressed energy that we've held in our energy body.
And it's important to get that energy out.
So in that case,
It's really important to allow it to get out and to do things that are supportive for your energy body to allow that to release in a gentle way.
That means taking it easy,
Sleeping because your higher self and guides can clear a lot more energy when you're sleeping and at rest where you won't feel it as much,
Taking a salt bath or a shower intending to clear that energy,
Walking in nature,
Putting your feet on the bare earth.
All of these things can really help you.
And if you're a SARA symbols student,
You can also use the first SARA symbol that's the grounding symbol to help open up those pathways to clear that energy out more quickly.
And those symbols are energy healing tools to help us as self healers become more empowered over our energy and clearing the dense energy that we're ready to clear in an easeful and accelerated way.
So now there are a couple ways that we can determine whether it's the energy coming or going.
And the more you start to become aware of this,
You'll just know you'll be able to identify a different sensation in your body when energy is leaving versus when it's coming in.
One of the things you can pay attention to is context.
If you've just been around a lot of people and you're feeling anxious,
It's probably energy coming in.
If you've just done some healing work on yourself or asked to shift or release something and you're feeling it,
It could be that it's energy leaving your field.
Now when energy is coming in,
Sometimes for some of us in that context,
We can actually feel our own anger a little bit come up.
So if we're around a lot of other people and we're starting to feel really anxious,
And then we're also starting to feel angry about it as well,
Or a little bit resentful,
And that's part of what we're feeling,
That can be a clue that you have a protector aspect that's trying to let you know that there's an energetic intrusion.
And anger is a sign that our boundaries are being violated in certain ways.
So if you feel a sense of anger when you're around a certain person and you start to feel anxious,
Or you're out in public and start to feel anxious,
It could be this protector part letting you know,
Hey,
There's a boundary being violated here and it's important that you be aware of it.
So it's not to make that anger wrong.
It's actually an important clue that energy is coming in that should not be coming in.
So pay attention to that.
Now,
The other piece here that might come in is actually related to the second type of anxiety that we might experience.
And this is what I call danger anxiety.
Now,
Most of us have experienced danger anxiety,
And this is when our nervous system and biological protective systems activate when we are actually unsafe.
And this is something that you might have experienced maybe when you're driving and somebody cuts in front of you or almost hits you because they crossed into your lane,
And you have to act really quickly.
This type of anxiety shows up with a feeling of an adrenaline rush,
And you're able to almost bypass your thinking mind and just act without thinking in a way that keeps you safe.
It's an accelerated way of experiencing life that helps you navigate an unsafe situation.
Now,
Energetically,
What's happening is your higher self is actually coming in and kind of taking over the reins to help you move through a dangerous situation that you're not meant to be harmed from or that you need to get yourself out of.
And we'll often feel this coupled with kind of a vibration or that anxiety feeling in our chest area.
And this isn't necessarily our heart,
But it's our high heart.
So it's a little bit higher up in our chest than our heart chakra.
And this is our higher self activating within ourselves those protective mechanisms.
And it's often also coupled with physiological symptoms as well of adrenaline release.
So we'll feel like we're in a fight or flight state.
We'll feel like we need to act really quickly.
And once we're out of that situation or we're consciously aware that we're out of that situation,
Then that anxiety tends to ease off.
And we might still feel some residual symptoms in the body of our muscles feeling really activated from that adrenaline and cortisol running through our body and all these different things that happen physiologically when we're in danger.
Now,
What's interesting here energetically is that our body is tuned into energy.
It's a very fine-tuned device to pick up on different frequencies of energy.
And so it's not just about what we're perceiving in our reality to be dangerous.
This is activated when we're emotionally,
Mentally,
Spiritually,
Or energetically in danger as well.
So sometimes if we're out in public and we're having these energy intrusions coming into our energy body,
This type of anxiety that's the danger anxiety will also activate in addition to the emotional anxiety that we're feeling.
So then it becomes this really intense form of anxiety to where we can feel that energy moving in.
And we have this feeling of like,
I need to get the heck out of here,
But I don't understand why because I'm not visually perceiving anything that seems dangerous.
However,
You might be in an energetically unsafe situation,
Especially if you're an empath and you're an energy absorber.
So you might be absorbing energy that's not in your highest good,
That's not helpful for you.
And that might be coming from a certain person,
That might be coming from your environment,
There might be energetic things in the environment that we are not necessarily really safe around.
And our body is telling us we need to get the heck out of there.
But often we learn to repress that signal of danger,
Because we can't visually perceive what's going on that could be dangerous.
So part of the key here is that we can both experience energetic anxiety when energy is coming in.
And additionally,
That danger anxiety can activate at the same time when we're absorbing or when people are unloading energy into our energy body.
So that's an important distinction to make as well.
So one of the best things we can do when we become aware that we're experiencing that danger anxiety,
Well,
First of all,
If you become aware of it while you're experiencing that anxiety,
It's likely because you're repressing it.
Because if you were really acting on it,
You would just be in the flow getting yourself out of that situation.
So if you're repressing that feeling and going against what your body is telling you,
Then that will amplify more and more for you until you get yourself out of that situation.
And so it's really important to honor your body and what it's telling you energetically,
And to learn what that feeling feels like and to trust it.
And then once you're out of that situation and you're no longer feeling that danger anxiety,
Then you can address the energetic intrusions that have come into your energy body that was creating the energetic anxiety that you were feeling.
Now,
The third type of anxiety is chemical anxiety.
This is the type of anxiety that is often referenced in like Western medicine and things like that.
And this is the type of anxiety we experience when there's a chemical imbalance in our body.
So this happens if we've had too much caffeine,
For example,
Or too much sugar.
This can happen when we have a hormone imbalance.
It can happen when our electrolytes are out of balance.
So this is the anxiety we experience in our body when there's an actual chemical imbalance that our body is experiencing,
And then it's having a physiological reaction to that imbalance,
And it's trying to get itself back into balance.
So when you're experiencing this type of anxiety,
There is often a physiological response to look for.
So that's going to be sweating.
It's going to be feeling hot in your body.
You might feel dizzy.
You might feel heart palpitations.
There are those physiological symptoms that we experience with this type of chemical anxiety.
And so that's a type that obviously requires either medical intervention if you have some kind of imbalance going on,
Or just paying attention to what you're putting in your body that causes that physiological sensation for you,
And then making whatever adjustments are right for you,
Talking to your doctor about it,
Your therapist,
You know,
Cutting back on the caffeine if you need to,
Whatever it might be.
So that's a third type of anxiety,
And that's a little bit more physical in nature,
But it feels very different than the other two types.
They all feel different in the body from one another.
So the way that we address each of these is going to be based on which type it is.
And so that's why it's so important for us to start to learn what anxiety we're experiencing in our body,
Because then we can work with it and start to understand better how to take care of ourselves,
What changes we need to make,
How to clear energy,
And all of those kinds of things.
Now,
I will mention one final thing that's popping in as a reminder.
I'm sure this is my guides coming in saying,
Hey,
Mention this because it's important.
Whenever we start to feel anxiety in the context where we're having a certain experience,
Either we're seeing something out in the world,
We're hearing about something,
Somebody's talking about something or doing something,
And in doing those things,
We start to feel the sense of anxiety coming up,
That's often the first type of anxiety,
That energetic,
Emotional anxiety.
And what happens is when we have an experience,
Even if it's just vicariously or we're hearing about something out in the world that's happening,
Those frequencies or whatever that represents for us personally can bring up all of the emotional energy that we've repressed that relates to that particular issue.
So this is actually what emotional triggering is.
So if we start to feel really anxious when we're,
Say,
Watching the news or listening to somebody talk about a specific topic,
It's really important to sit with that,
Acknowledge the anxiety and realize,
Oh,
This is activating energy that I have in my body that's repressed,
That needs to leave.
And in order to really do that,
Maybe I should sit with this and think about how is this triggering or activating something that I've experienced in the past or how is this reminding me of how I've felt in the past in certain situations,
And then making a choice to shift that and doing some inner work,
Some shadow work around that,
Limiting belief work,
Whatever it might be.
So this is another way that that emotional anxiety can come up.
It's not necessarily just energetic intrusions or I got healing and stuff's releasing.
Sometimes that energy just gets activated and this is an opportunity for healing to happen when we can acknowledge,
Oh,
I'm feeling really anxious.
This must mean that whatever I'm listening to or experiencing is activating a lot of repressed emotions in my body and I'm feeling that as anxiety,
And it would be really helpful for me to release this.
So now I'm going to do some inner work on that.
So I hope this has helped you a little bit,
Have a greater understanding of your experience,
Given you some options for tools and ways to navigate this,
Mostly through understanding,
Because that's the first step.
When we can understand something,
Then we can make a choice to shift it or change it.
And hopefully this has helped you have a little bit greater understanding over your own experience.
So thanks for being here with me as always,
And I will see you next time.
