Snippets of Wisdom Satisfaction Ah!

What is satisfying to you?

What does being satisfied feel like to you?

I jotted this in my journal and thought it would be nice to share it with you.

Satisfaction comes from holding a thought and finding the good-feeling place of it.

Ah!

Thoughts can be very satisfying.

When I think a thought that feels good,

I love to hold it for just a little longer and revel in that good-feeling place.

Have you noticed yourself feeling satisfied?

It's like reading a really good book.

When you finish the last page,

You close the book gently,

Look out somewhere beyond yourself,

And bask in the good feeling.

It just feels satisfying to hold on to that moment just a little longer.

We can experience satisfaction anytime we choose with our thoughts.

When we decide to pay attention to how we frequently feel,

We will notice that some thoughts feel satisfying and some do not.

This is our opportunity to shift our thoughts if necessary.

We have free will to choose whatever we want to think about.

No one can think a single thought for us.

We have the freedom to think our own thoughts.

If we want to feel better,

We need to reach for a thought that feels more satisfying.

So I'll ask,

What is satisfying to you?

What can you think of that feels satisfying?

Here are a few things that feel satisfying to me.

Maybe they will inspire you.

Porch sitting early in the morning before the sun wakes up and the stars say goodnight.

Spending time with my big-eyed rescue dog,

Elmer.

Pondering how beautifully this planet sustains life.

Writing my inspired thoughts in my journal.

Listening to crickets chirping at night outside my open window.

Reading a quote that moves me and then rewriting it to make it my own,

To allow it to anchor in my being.

These are moments of thoughtfulness that are very satisfying for me.

They hold my attention as I let the experience wash over my soul.

To your satisfaction,

Find the good-feeling place of it.

Practice daily meditation and listen to talks that inspire you.

Let's make mindfulness a daily practice.
