We all wear a lot of different hats and play a lot of different roles.
We take on many responsibilities as we go through life,
Whether that's being the best friend,
Being a great partner,
Being a great parent,
Being a great brother,
Sister,
Or daughter,
Or son.
We go through all of these different roles in our lives and so often we have a tendency to lose our center or lose our sense of self through that all,
Especially when we're moving really quickly.
So this meditation is designed to be something that we can do within the span of three minutes to just help us reconnect to our spirit,
To our heart,
And more importantly,
Reconnect to our breath.
And honestly,
It's one you could do by peeling away and going into the bathroom for three minutes,
Too.
We're going to use a mudra,
A gesture or a seal,
A lock with our hands.
And this can be done in any comfortable seated position.
Feel free to find your way into a supportive space or pull back into a hidden room.
And when you're ready,
Bring your hands together,
Interlace your fingers,
Palms facing up.
But your pointer fingers will connect together at the fingertips.
This will help to balance the air element.
Thumbs extend outwards so the other three fingers are overlapped facing upwards.
Place your hands in line with the space between your heart and above your navel.
So above the third chakra and below the fourth chakra,
The solar plexus and the heart.
Eyes gaze down or close.
And come into a deep inhale,
Deep breath in.
And a steady,
Relaxing exhale out.
If it feels more appropriate and suitable to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth,
You may continue like that.
Or sealing the lips,
Breathing in and out through the nose.
Allow your hips to heavy,
Your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to relax.
And we'll do this just for three minutes.
Weaving in the mantra,
So and hum.
So on the inhale,
Hum on the exhale.
Thinking so when you breathe in.
Thinking hum when you breathe out.
So inhale.
Hum,
Exhale,
All at the level of thought.
So hung translates to I am.
As you settle into this.
Just notice any thoughts that might bubble up.
Anything that might feel like it's pulling you away from here.
It's totally natural.
I invite you to witness it.
Witness it.
Welcome it in for a moment.
And allow it to go as you return to the thoughts so hum with the breath.
Deepening the breath,
Feeling the ribs expand,
The belly expand with the inhale.
Each exhale clearing space for the new breath in.
Bring your hands together in a prayer position.
Inhale deeply.
Bow your chin in towards your chest and towards yourself as you exhale.
Take a moment.
To be with yourself.
Your essence.
Your soul.
Where it is from this refilled and replenished place.
That you can be of greater service to all.
In the many roles that you have in your life.
As you're ready,
Blink your eyes open.
Namaste.
